Notes / Commercial Description:
This special batch of our Belgian Quadruple was aged in a menagerie of four different bourbon barrels for 20 months and blended together to perfection. Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, blue session. Hazy dark amber color. Aroma has sweet toffee and bourbon. Taste is sweet and sticky with bourbon, toffee and sugared dried fruits.

Split a bottle with my favorite neighbor.
L: Dark mahogany, burgundy, and chocolate hues with a thin sandy head
S: Caramelized sugar, amaretto, figs, and dates
T: Dangerously complex with dried leather, cacao nibs, sticky cinnamon buns, black currants, prunes, and bourbon-soaked figs
F: On point - medium bordering on thick with a nice carb backdrop
O: To me this is the dark horse of the Barrel Room Collection V set. Absolutely blew me away with its complexity, rich flavors, and excellent barrel complement. Voodoo's barrel game is getting dangerous - they could probably barrel age Zima and it would be executed with perfection. Overall this was incredibly enjoyable and a BA Quad lover's dream.

8oz pour from the release. Lots of dark fruit and bourbon aroma. Belgian sugar, dark fruits and bourbon flavors. Didn't expect to like this as much as Cabernet Quadfather, but this was just as good if not better!

Bomber into a matching snifter appears dark chestnut in color with a khaki head that fades leaving spotty lace.

Sweet brown sugar aroma with wood, caramel, trace minerals and bourbon.

Taste is bready malt with plenty of residual sweetness cut with bourbon heat. Slight drying oak feel with raison, prunes, caramel and vanilla.

Medium body with modest carbonation. Pretty fantastic stylewise with wonderful barrel nuance and complexity. The prior release of quadfather aged in cab barrels was a real unsung hero. So the bar was set pretty high as far as my expectations for this one went....and it delivered. Fantastic stuff.

Wow! This may be the best of BRC5. Holy. Smokes.

Massive. Massive fruity Belgian esters: raisins, dates, figs, cherries. Massive oak, dried tobacco, leather, vanilla, a non-distinct, very subtle smokiness.

Seriously, holy moley Batman!
