a : cloudy, reddish gold color. no head on pour, no lacing.
s : cherry, cotton candy, smells like cherry soda, slight alcohol
t : cherry soda, slight bitterness, alchohol is not hidden well, doesn't taste well balanced.
m : light body, carbonation fees artificial.
d : high abv doesn't make this a good session beer. had a hard time drinking this due to its sweetness.

Thanks to rpohagan for throwing one of these into a trade. Served in my Darkness goblet.

A - Two fingers of egg-white quick dissipating foam that leaves some solid lacing. Murky auburn red-orange color.

S - Woah! Spicy Belgian yeast and musty funk. Some raspberry flavors, but really sour. There's also some lemon zest, cherry, and wheat flavors. This is really funky though - almost off-putting.

T - Much sweeter - lots of cherry and raspberry, with some maltiness. The yeast, sour, and funk notes recede to the background. Significantly more tasty that it smells.

M - Lots of carbonation tingle to this one, with a very thin body. Leaves a candy-coated feeling in the mouth. Kind of gritty as well.

D - I think one bomber of this was plenty - the smell was just overwhelming, even though the taste was pretty solid. Carbonation was too high, and the ABV is high as well (even though you can't really taste it).

This was a really unusual beer - not sure if it wants to be a tripel, kriek, lambic, or what. And the smell - so much yeast, like bust out the Monistat level yeast! Interesting experiment, but nowhere near as successful as Big Black Voodoo Daddy.

Received this brew from BeerTruth as an extra in a recent trade. He knows my love of fruit beers and anything aged on cherries, raspberries and passion fruit is okay with me. Drank from my Stone India Pale Ale tulip.

Appearance- Pours an orange yellowish with a nice one finger creamy white head. A pretty damned nice cap and collar is maintained the entire beer along with a good bit of thick lacing.
Smell- Nice and fruity with a fresh sort of citric berry fruitiness. If I had to guess what was in here (pretending I didn't know) I'd say strawberries and cherries. I don't think I'd guess the raspberries and definitely not the passion fruit. It's somewhat spicy with something that smells a lot like cinnamon. As it all combines it sort of smells like lipstick. The Tripel base is easily noticeable too and has a light grainy sweetness in the undertone.
Taste- OH. Way nicer than I was expecting. The fruits are light but in perfect balance with the beer. I'm not really sure that I'd guess any of the fruits that are in this beer though honestly. There is sort of a strawberry and pear like flavor but the raspberries and cherries are not to be found. The Tripel itself is light with a bit of doughy undertones and a light bit of earthy yeast. There is a slight bitterness hiding in the beer as well and it kind of takes away from the beer. The finish is lightly malty with a touch of grains of paradise like flavor and just the slightest bit of warming from the alcohol.
Mouthfeel- Fairly thick bodied beer with a nice fullness and well covered alcohol for the most part. The carbonation is fairly light overall as well.
Drinkability- Not too shabby. It's not a crazy fruity beer at all but the fruit is nice and it's all fairly well balanced. The Tripel is even fairly decent and that's definitely not my favorite style. I wish that bitterness was a bit lighter but other than, I enjoyed. Thanks Adam!

Didn't know what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. Great color, opaque with swirls of solids, leans toward pink. This one was lacking carbonation, In fact it was barely detectable and I would have liked to have some. Cherry and passion fruit are out front, malt and yeast right behind. Just sweet enough. This edition was 9.5 ABV, and if it didn't say so on the bottle, you would never know it. Be careful wit this one, you could easily have a few too many if there is such a thing.

Bomber. Cloudy orange color with a medium head. Fair lacing. Aroma of sweet fruit; raspberries and passion fruit along with brown sugar, caramel malt and a healthy dose of yeast.

It starts out tasting very fruity and sweet, with the yeasty notes coming in later. The malt seems more evident as it heats up. Tangy texture. Medium/heavy body. The alcohol is well covered, like a good fruit punch will always be.

From a big bottle.
A- Appears like the typical tripel. Looks like a vanilla soda. Head fades immediatley.
S- Smells like cherry liquor.
T- Taste really chages with temperature. The one fruit that I can taste is the cherry. Not a sweet or a tart taste, just cherry. There is a small alcohol burn in the finish.
MD- Feels more like wine. goes down pretty easy for the ABV. A good tripel. Something I will consider in the future.

22 oz. bomber poured into a Duvel Tulip.

What an interesting beer this should be.

A- Light caramel tan color, small head, quickly dissipating. No lacing. Lots of carbonation (some might say too much).

S- Smell was very similar to cotton candy. Sweet/sour sugary bite to the nose. Some spice and yeast detected.

T- Not your ordinary tripel here. The fruit component to this one was certainly upfront. Cherries, passion fruit, raspeberry, pineapple, apple, belgian spices, HUGE yeast presence. Please note- this is a VERY sugary beer with a big noticable alcohol kick in the end.

M- Medium bodied with lots of carbonation and fizz.

D- With the high ABV, this one needs to be shared. I enjoyed it, but due to the sugary and sweet nature of the beer, having just one will be fine.

Love Child poured a hazy reddish-gold with little lacing and retention.

I catch a whiff of cherries and other fruit notes, possibly raspberry.

Taste is sweet and again cherries. I don't know what passion fruit tastes like but I know it's in this brew and it could be the one covering up the 10% abv...not a hint of that. Bottom line this is hella fruity.

This is a lighter tripel and very smooth. Moderate carbonation.

Easy to sip and enjoyable as the other Voodoo brews. Great job again by Voodoo. Meadville PA stand up.

drank on 7.17.08 at home. poured from bottle into wide mouthed glass.

great pour. nice head, but dissipated pretty quickly. big airy bubbles, cloudy brownish orange color, on the lighter side. great smell, smell of cherry, sweet candy malt, slight yeasty smell as well.

initial super sweet raspberry taste, sparkly crisp front of the mouth taste. much better past the first sip, kind of reminds me of DFH Red and White. mouthfeel is nice, much better as it warms up.

Poured from a bomber bottle into my oversized snifter. Pinkish-redish hue with a small head. Some slight floaty noticable in the bottle conditioned bottle. Smell is mostly yeast, cracker like along with tartness from the fruit. The taste is pretty complex cherries, raspberrys, and passion fruit are noticed at first but also faint orange and lemon peels are there. Mouthfeel is smooth, very easy to drink and enjoy.
