Thanks tommyguz for this!
22 oz bottle poured into a snifter

A- Black with a small tan head.

S- Roasted malts, dark chocolate, some coffee, piney hops really stand out, licorice, oak.

T- Chocolate, caramel malts, coffee, some licorice, piney hops, charred oak, some smoke, touch of alcohol. Well balanced.

M- Smooth, full body, some creaminess.

O- A great stout that is really easy to drink for 12% ABV. Nice complexity with good balance, very enjoyable. Would love to have this again.

Pitch black inky body with a nice 1/2" of sandy colored head.

The smell has a lot of chocolate malt. I also pick up black licorice and a piney hop and a little bit of cola.

The flavor is very vivid and robust. Heavy with the chocolate with supporting flavors of anise, wood, and piney/earthy hops. There's also a nice taste of coffee.

Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Low carbonation lends to the full and creamy body.

This was a fantastic stout. It has incredible depth in the flavor. The 12.5% is noticeable but it's still smooth for such a big beer.

Vintage 2011. Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Pipeworks snifter.

A- pours pitch black with a 1 finger tan head. Random bubbles and blotches on the glass.

S- huge chocolate, marshmallow, roast, and faint coffee

T- roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, slight menthol flavor and some pine.

M- full body and medium carbonation. Smooth and very easy drinking at 11%.

O- very good RIS. Very nice blend of chocolate and roast. Would love to try this barrel aged!

From a bottle ordered from Letspour.
Pours black with small brown head...poured in a St Bernardus chalice.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, lactose, Brazil nuts, bitter chocolate.
Moderate carbonation and strong mouthfeel.
Flavors of dark roasted malts, burnt malts, bitter chocolate, chalk, slight liquid smoke...there's a dryness...I'll give it a few minutes...
Oooh...strong in flavor, bold and bitter...a big mix of hops, malts and alcohol. I might have been wise to age this a few more months, but nah...it drinks well now, but is rougher than a Great Divide Yeti or Alesmith Speedway Stout.

Big old thanks to Hessian257 for this bottle!

What an appropriate name... pitch black with a creamy finger of pale brown head that retains quite well, leaving behind thick sheets of lace and distinctive alcohol legging. In terms of appearance, the ABV is less than discrete.

Loads of roast on the nose, reminiscent of Ten Fidy in some ways. Vanilla and toffee with hollow coffee notes. Plenty of darker chocolates, powdery cocoa.

Creamy mocha flavors with a massive, sweeping roast character. Semisweet dessert flavors are balanced with a bitter chocolate/coffee ground profile. Nice booze kick right at the tail end of things.

Awesome.

Pours inky black with a small tan head. Very little retention and minimal lacing.

Aroma is very roast heavy. Lots of roasted coffee and other dark malts. Dark chocolate and maybe a bit of fig and raisin with some anise in the background.

More of the same flavor wise. Very dry and roasty throughout. Big coffee notes along with some bitter dark chocolate flavors. Raisin, a bit of oak and perhaps a hint of smokiness come along for the ride too. A little earthy hop bitterness near the end.

Thick mouthfeel. Extremely dry and roasty. Finishes like licking a coffee filter. In other words, just about perfect. Alcohol is noticeable, but doesn't overpower the flavors.

Wonderful aggressive beer. I was pleasantly surprised at this one that for some reason has been sitting in my cellar longer than most. A great bit dry stout which is right up my alley.
