Style: American Brown Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.50%

Notes / Commercial Description:
This is named after a song that sparked the idea to make this ale. Brown ales seem to be there, but not really there, do you know what I mean? Well that won't be the mistake with Wynona! Voodooed out this style and add more that's what we say. Hoppy and smooth hints of chocolate and tons of brown malt to let you know it's there. Try the brown, You'll be Happy You Did!!

Solid brown ale - good roasted malt, light coffee, and the hops are just present right at the end to add a little panache. Unadventurous but a good representation of the style.

From the 12 oz bottle and enjoyed in a snifter. This mighty nice
brown pours a red tinged moderately dark mahogany with a decent
head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light pooling layer, and
showcases light lacing. Nose of collocate, subtle coffee, and dark sweet malts.
Flavors lightly exceed the nose with brown sugars, hints of coffee, medium amounts of
chocolate, and a subtle herbal hop note on the rear. Decent mouth feel; medium body,
medium low carbonation, and a lightly dry and subtly chocolate tinged finish.

Overall, a solid little ale.

Cheers

Treated as an Imperial brown ale, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice dark brown color with a finger's worth of dieing foamy head that didn't even leave any lace.
The aroma had a nice sweet coffee bean to roasty portion as well as some dark cocoa powder. Light nuttiness and an even lighter caramel malt coming in underneath.
The flavor took all of the previously mentioned aromas together, nice and sweet with the roasty, a little bit of toast and those clean malts all delving together nicely on into the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, perhaps a touch under yet having a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt right where it was supposed to be. ABV felt good as projected by the brewer. And the smoothness combined nicely with the roastiness allowing just enough to stick but also just enough to glide.
Overall, really nice imperial brown ale that I would love to have again.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours brown with ruby auburn hues; small khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and nice lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of chocolate and cocoa powder leading the way. Subtle hints of coffee and vanilla in the mix. The flavors basically follow the nose. More chocolate and cocoa. Hints of toffee, caramel and vanilla. More hints of coffee. Solid malt backbone. It's not too sweet at all. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. Slightly fluffy and pretty smooth. Easy to drink.

This is a solid brown ale. It's a nice traditional example of the style. It's not flashy, but it's still enjoyable. It doesn't drink like a big brew. Not bad at all.

Once opened, the scents of carmel and malts are the first thing that hits your nose. The pour is beautiful, a smooth not too airy nor too flat head with a rich brown clear liquid. The flavor is clearly leaning toward a smooth mouth feel and taste. The finish is without any after-taste.

Deep brown in color with a bit of copper. The beer has a nice head on it with good lacing. Very malty smell, and I feel like I'm picking up some type of oat or grain, which is weird. Rich, malty taste typical of a brown ale. Though it's an imperial, it's only 7.5% but does have a stronger bite than normal brown ales. Very good beer.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Looks just like cola. A thin fizzy head that disappears in a flash matches
S: There's definitely coffee there, lots of brown malt but I keep getting something cola-esque throughout
T: This is unique. I kind of like it. It's like a spinwheel of coffee-Coke-Pepsi-Dr Pepper-brown malt over and over with notes of each cola
M: Thin, carbonated, what's the theme again?
O: I don't love this but I would definitely drink it again since it goes down easy and would be great to drink when watching a game or with friends when beer isn't the focus

12oz bottle into a pint glass. NO freshness dating.

attractive red-brown body to begin with, but the last ounce muddied the waters a bit, making it chocolate (or muddy) brown. small off-white head, no lacing.

solid malty brown ale aroma.

strong brown ale taste, slightly meaty. a faint fizziness to it.

medium on the mouth, good and meaty on the finish.

overall, good solid brown ale. nothing exceptional about it, but it delivers what it's supposed to.

Nice dark brown color with a 1/4 inch of tan foamy-head with decent lacing.
Smells of molasses, toasted caramel, nuts, bread and roasted malt.
I can taste the hops but very subtle, offering a mild bitterness. Very earthy, toasted malt and some caramel flavors as well. Nicely Balanced. Overall A definite go to for solid brown ale. Well done.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a very dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of coffee, some brown sugar. Taste is malts, brown sugar, light coffee, not nearly as much as the aroma indicated. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.
