Thanks TommyGuz for hooking me up with a 1-liter of this. Poured into a matching voodoo snifter, the brew appears a orange to golden copper color with skimpy white head that fades back fast.

The smell is initially grassy moreso than cucumber influenced. However once you hone in on the cucumber, you pretty much cannot smell anything else in the brew. As it warms, there is a strange "coolness" about the nose.

The taste is huge of cucumber and grass. A slight earthen and green bell pepper flavoring. Faint to slight wheaty grain and brine flavors with a lasting grass/cucumber aftertaste.

This is a light bodied brew with a light level of carbonation. Ive had only a handful of cucumber beers and this one sure is unique and grassy really driving home that cucumber flavor/freshness. It is worth checking out just for the "yup, had dat factor" but im not sure how much of this id want to drink.

review taken from notes

Pours a light golden color with a chill/protein haze and a white soapy head. The aroma is big on cucumbers and does remind me of pickles. The taste, is fresh cucumber, not too far from some cucumber mint tea concoctions I have had in the past, however, this does not have mint. The wheat and other beer elements add up to me just tasting pickles when I drink it. It tastes like pickles and some malts. The mouthfeel is rather light bodied and well carbonated. Overall, the name of the beer says it all with this one, but it was cool to try.

tap, named for a line in Chappelle's Show.

Pours a light hazy gold with a white lacing for a head.

Smells of fresh cucumbers and light grassy malts.

Flavor is of fresh vegetal cucumbers and light grassy malts with a tang of citrus.

Medium to light body with a light tingle of carbonation on the tongue.

A good flavorful ale, interesting idea, and very refreshing. This will probably be a very divisive beer, I could see a lot of people really being turned off by it. I personally quite enjoy it and will look forward to trying it again.

On tap a few hours ago at the brewpub into a clean, clear glass. Review from notes taken while enjoying it. I called the brewpub back just now and got the ABV since I had not recorded it while there.

A Abundant creamy head over a yellow opaque body that glows in front of the light coming through the large windows on behind the bar at the brewpub. Nice lacing on the inside of the glass after repeated sips as well. 4.5

S Light cucumbers (I have never wrote that in a review but really, repeated sniffs reveal light cucumbers!). Also the slightest sense of sweet malt and wheat grains. Nothing if not interesting. 4.0

T Classic Witbier taste with a lot less of the cucumber taste that the smell suggested. It is in there but maybe 10 per cent of what the smell suggested to me. There is a nice Witbier gentle sweetness as well. 4.5

M Moderate thickness but light Witbier and cucumber tastes lighten it up quite a bit. 4.5

D Drinkability is very, very high. Overall I thought of this as a gimmicky beer but it still works. I would love to taste the Witbier base before the cucumber was added but it is fine just the way that it is. 4.0

Notes: Got to love the name!
