Amber, hazy. White foam fine and medium bubble, relatively high average life.
Aroma: very weak, very clear, little notes of hops, a little flower and honey.
Taste: it is very similar, the whole little clear, lacking any particular accent.
Gentian very clear, hop, dry, grassy. It is quite long but it did not bother and "pulls". Saturation medium, fits. Alcohol perfectly hidden.

I liked the color, a mixture of red and orange, looks hearty and alive. Drops substantial yeasty phenols from Belgium and alcohol on the nose. Hops conspicuously absent from something with Hop in the name. . .

Taste was like a tripel with citrus, lots of that stuff, compared with orange liquers before, not entirely off point. Ultimately the hopping fell short of what I was looking for in this one. Gave some citrus for sure, but maybe the carbonation could have been higher to help it out where it needed it.

Format and price are expensive, would not bang again. Would bang a dry hopped version though.

Poured a rich, gold colour. Mostly fruity, Belgian yeast smell. Tasted crisp, fruity, sweeter, typical Belgian-beer taste; not much hop, but a crisp bitterness at the end.

See, this beer right here, and also De Brabendere's 1894, are great examples of what the Belgians do with their hops. They're there to create variation and complexity in the flavor, not to overwhelm it as the American IPAs do. This was introduced to me as a Belgian IPA, and if that's the case, then those guys a pond and a half away are doing it right!

Heavy-medium body with some nice creamy carbonation yields a golden ale that it sweet, fruity, and hoppy all at the same time. The flavors I most detect (both in scent and taste) are pineapple, peach, and mango, with a bit of some oily pine and bitter hops. Most apparent, however, is a sweet and malty honey flavor that gives some oomph to the flavor. I would say that overall, it's fairly well balanced, but with a bias towards the sweet as Belgians tend to have, with a bitter finish that makes a late entrance and then lingers forever, much like my Mom at parties (minus the bitterness). Truly, a delicious beer and a good lesson for American brewers on how to use hops well, though a bit less sweetness would not have gone unappreciated.

Pours a chunky light amber. Reeks of fresh delicious apples and butterscotch. Starts off sweet yet finishes dry. Burnt brown sugar. My reduced mental function says 'boozy' but my tongue is all over the bitter finish. Was marked down to clear, at which price I'd certainly buy again.

11.2oz brown bottle - coded K12D7 08:08

Urthel Hop-it body is a slightly hazy peach color producing a 1-finger bubbly white head that left a nice lacing on my tulip glass. The nose is a mix of citrus, yeast and a bit of hops. The taste of citrus and malt is up front followed by piney hop bitterness and pepper/spice. The aftertaste is slightly hoppy. Mouth feel is smooth, and crisp with a medium body.

Overall, a very drinkable ale that is not too hoppy for this non hop heads.
