This was completely flat. It poured with some sediment to fall to the bottom and opaque not clear. Rusty brown. Big loose tan bubbles that burst upon hitting the glass. No head. Good nose that had everything it should. Tempting firm caramel, soft sweet bread, fruity from dark fruits and an ester or two from yeast. Tasted ok except it was washed out watery with no bubbles. The mouthfeel was flat and the flavors also fell flat. No finish and a mild linger from dark fruits. The malts all wasted in the swallow. Touch of warmth from the alcohol shows up here.

Pours a deep amber color with a soapy, slightly off white head. Sediment reserved in the bottle, there was not too much. The aroma has Belgian yeast and dark fruits paired with molasses. In the taste, distinct fruity Urthel yeast strain with big dark fruit notes. Date, fig and raisin rule the day here. Bready but also very fruity and quite enjoyable. Dark fruits and sticky brown sugar. Full bodied, well carbonated ale. Finishes clean and a bit fruity with a slightly chalky yeast. Overall, this is a stellar example of a Belgian Strong Dark Ale.

This is a dark and fruity treat. It pours deep brown with tons of foam that quickly dissolves into a sticky, creamy surface. Deep layers of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, sweet malts, and dark fruits like prunes, figs and plums, suck you in. The aroma is just so ripe. I love it.

An alcoholic sweetness and a burst of fruits and raisins make this almost a mix between a bock and a belgian strong ale. It has a medium body, is very smooth & creamy, and its high carbonation make it quite effervescent. Total bummer that they stopped brewing this last year.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottle code K17A7. Pours very cloudy dark reddish brown color with a very nice 2-3 finger dense khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass, with a fair amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of raisin, prune, toast, biscuit, caramel, molasses, nuttiness, and earth. Pretty nice aromas with good balance and weak strength. Taste of big caramel, toast, biscuit, raisin, nuttiness, toffee, molasses, prune, herbal, and earth. Lingering notes of raisin, caramel, biscuit, toast, nuttiness, molasses, and herbal on the finish for a good. Fantastic balance of flavors with nice complexity and robustness. No cloying flavors at all after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong dark ale! Great robust and balance flavors; and very smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this.
