Solid, easy-drinking stout with a hint of cherry.

A dark brown/black pour with a finger of tan head, no lacing. Smells of chocolate, cherries, sugary sweet scent. The flavor is jut like the smell and so delicious. Medium
In body wih low carbonation. This is a wonderful treat - great tasting and smelling.

Looks opaque. Head looked creamy but faded quickly. Lacing on the glass but that faded as well.

Smells like roasted malts and some chocalate but all aromas are faint.

I get mostly chocalate upfront then the cherry chocalate mixes at the end. Cherry isn't noticeable as the chocalate but it's there. Nice taste overall, though. Dryness comes in from the bitterness at the very end.

Mouth feel is pretty thin. Feels okay, just too thin of a body, this is not like a stout.

Drink ability is good. It's tasty. I could have another, it's a easy drinker.

From the brewery's growler, served at just over fridge temperature in a pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a thin, chocolate brown... the heads builds to a full four fingers of soapy, marshmallow foam. Great sticky lacing that webs the inside of my glass.

Smell- Roasted coffeebeans mostly, with just a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Not much else, very basic.

Taste- Thin yet in a sense gritty, it's a straightforward roasted malt flavor. As one-sided as the aroma, I'm just not getting any of the cherry flavors. Bitter coffee-like finish.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Not bad, just not great either. It just *is*... the ingredients are doing their thing. Overall, this isn't too exciting... it's average at best.

From a growler purchased less than an hour before tasting:

Pours pitch black with a swirling patch.

The smell is of chocolate, coffee, toast. Just a hint of cherry.

The taste is of chocolate. Suggestions of sweetened coffee and some dark fruitiness enter in. Only vague hints of cherry. The flavor lingers, but more of chocolate than anything else. Rather sweet finish.

It's on the lighter side of meduim-bodied - on watery side for the style. Although some flavor lingers, it's the chocolate that holds on longer than anything else, with the cherry just a fading memory.

Overall - pretty nice as a chocolate stout - though it could use some more body and creaminess. Just a hint of cherry in the back.

Had a pint on tap after dinner tonight.

A - An opaque black with a half finger of off white head. Some lacing on the glass.

S - Smells of dark roast coffee and a toasted malt smell.

T - Extreme toasted tastes of espresso with the cherry showing up a little on the aftertaste. Not as chocolatey as some other stouts despite the name.

M - Nice and creamy feel on the tongue, really goes down nice.

D - Pretty good. Not the most flavorful stout but definitely interesting and a nice after dinner drink with all that coffee flavor.

It pours an opaque black with little head. There is an okay lacing left behind. The aroma has mostly roasted malt (chocolate and roated barley), but there is some cherry present as well. The roasty malts (chocolate and coffee) are up front, but there is a slight fruitiness and wininess also there. I don't really taste the cherry, even though I smelled it. It has a nice full body witrh a linegring roasted finish and a slight bitterness to balance it out. It is a good stout, but I had to deduct points because it didn't come across as a stellar fruit beer.

This is an excellent beer. The first chocolate/cherry stout that I have had. Dark with a slight tinge of red just peeking through. A mild to strong cherry aroma. the chocolate is the more dominate charater of the taste, but it is greatly complimented by the cherry flavor. A very interesting beer. I hope that it shows up again this winter.
