A long bar in back - pretty nig in area - roomy. Tables/booths in bar area. There's a small outside area.

Service didn't start off so well - Wasatch and I asked for a table, server walked away - we were ignored. Manager came over and straightened out situation and apologized. Waiter friendly - wasn't very knowledgeable, but had an idea of what the beers were. He did seem eager to offer the best service he could though.

The beers and food (acc. to menu - though didn't try any food) were varied.

Eight beers offered - six regular and two seasonals. Reasonable prices on beer - food was reasonable to a bit pricey. They offer some specials, such as $7 pitchers on Thursdays. Growlers were $10. Beer offerings clearly listed on a big sign over the bar.

Certainly worth stopping in if you're in the area!

I stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn, across the parking lot from this brewpub, and visited it with a number of colleagues. It has a modern atmosphere with plenty of restaurant seating. We were there early in the evening, but they were setting up for live music. The menu was varied, and the food was excellent. Service was prompt. The only complaint is related to the beer list. Utah, of course, has some repressive beer laws, so the beer menu only had about 5 draft beers, each one at not more than 3.5 abv. I had a pale ale, which suffered in body, but was worthwhile.

It was in the parking lot of the hotel I stayed at for my daughter's hockey tournament. Went there for dinner then back again with the team. You can tell its a brewpub when you're in the bar. Staff is friendly and accommodating but would not say they are fast - but hey, relaxing with a few beers and friends is a good thing. Had a burger that was decent, decently priced but nothing special. They had a fair number of beers; I'll review 3 of them later that I had full glass, but I tried the full spectrum with the sampler. The cream ale, rosemary porter were the weakest.

Went here with a group of 6 and had a chance to sample pitchers of the Nut Brown Ale, Oktoberfest and Amber. The beers weren't really very good and seemed to be overly hopped to mask the fact that they had lower ABV due to Utah law. The Oktoberfest was also off and not stylistically much like a true Oktoberfest.
The food wasn't anything to write home about. You may want to try your luck in the restaurant associated with Roosters next door. If you're staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Layton, ask reception for some coupons for free appetizers. The coupons are usable at both Roosters and the place next door.

Well, this Roosters just opened up a few months ago. I decided to check it out. The place is pretty big. There's a bar, and eating area. I had a Brewhouse Burger which was not too bad (could be bigger though) also came with fries. Had a couple of there beers which I will post separtely. I got there about 5:30pm (weekday) so there was not that many people there yet, but started to come in when I left at about 7:00pm. Nice atmosphere and some great service from the hostess. I will visited this brew/pub more often since it is about a mile from my house (about time something close to me). Just some info, they do not wash out a member's mug when you order a different brew. Would recommend visiting when your in the area. Beermail me and I'll join you if you like, lol
