A hybrid Pale Ale as big as Wyoming! An extremely large dose of American, English and Special Northwest hops makes this brew the hoppiest of them all. This beer is dry hopped which adds a copious amount of hop aroma and resinous sweetness to its beautiful malty body.

Ratebeer tasting. Orange body, mild hare, slow effervescence, small white collar. Aromas of malty citrus, lightly spice bread. Light to medium bodied, a bit syrupy on the palate. Mediocre.

Pours a clear, brown color. 2/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight sugar, hint of pale malt, slight caramel malt, piney hops, and slight floral hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of earthy malt, slight caramel malt, piney hops, slight sugar, sweet malt, slight alcohol, and a hint of burnt bread. Overall, good appearance, decent aroma, decent body, but not well-blended.

a robust american strong pale, well made, and my first beer from wind river. a heavy pale color, and a heavy pale flavor, lots of grain adding fermentables to this, and a simplistic but well timed hop schedule. darker than blonde, richer than gold, and rather clear in color, with all kinds of bubbles. it smells like pale malt in huge proportion and maybe some less popular C hop, challenger or chinook or something, high alpha and familiar, but not that familiar. lots of hops all the way through it too, not just in the finish, some vegetal freshness and substantial resinousness. drinkable as anything for over 7% abv, thats the takeaway here for me. a good friend shared this can from his hiking trip or climbing trip in wyoming, and im real glad he did. fun local beer of somehwere, and if it was my local, i would drink this hard. my only real critique aside from being just a bit run of the mill, is that is pretty filling. more than one pint can of this would be a big rip, but i still like it a lot.

Appearance: healthy 3" cream head recedes slowly with abundant lacing. Color is a deep copper and quite cloudy. Moderate carbonation is visible.
Aroma: pine and citrus hops dominate the nose. But there is also a caramel malt tone. Mouthfeel: medium bodied with a somewhat dry finish.
Flavor: grapefruit citrus, some pine oil, a bitter raisin flavor, some caramel malt and a lingering bitter finish.
Overall: a most excellent brew, but a bit on the strong/hoppy side for a pale ale. Really more of an IPA (or even a double IPA).

Deep amber with a tall off-white colored head. About the color of bronze.

Smells woody and mildly hoppy. Lightly spicy scent. The hop scent is best described as herbal.

Starts out mildly sweet with a woody and slightly bitter after taste. Scorched sugar and cedar plank flavors. Alcohol is completely hidden.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall this is OK. Not that big a fan but it isn't a drain pour.
