Ok 12 oz bottle.
I poured this ninto my Chimay chalice and its a good enough looking ale, slightly hazy, orange/brown beer with a small splotchy bubbly head. Nice carbonation ( the chalice does that).
The aroma is sort of strange though..its a creamy hazelnut smell..though there is a small amount of expected spiciness in the back.
The taste however is up to style and quite warming with its nice blend of smooth malts and spices..alcohol is well hidden for its strength.
Good smooth mouthfeel.
Nice drinkable trpiel, not up to Belgian standards but very good for the price ($1.35 a 12 oz).

07/25/13 At Rattle N Hum, NYC. From bottle. Extremely sweet. As a big Belgian fan, this taste like the third chapter in the "How To Make a Belgian Triple". Keep at it. You're on the right track. I'll be back.

12oz bottle at 41 F poured into a pair of sample glasses. No indication of bottling or best by dates.
Pours slightly cloudy with a small head and lots of carbonation. Golden. Smell is slightly woody, slightly fruity, some banana. Pretty mild.
Taste is surprisingly bittersweet. Much more bitterness than I was expecting, but still a great deal of sweetness, still mostly in the banana line, but some sort of astringent fruity characteristic, which I don't know how to describe terribly well.
Mouthfeel is full and rich. Overall, not bad.

Pours amber with a finger of head.
Smells figgy. Rich and a bit of caramel.
Taste is rich, but obviously not a true Belgian. Yeast is present. Fruity and estery. Bit waxy. Bit of a dry, bitter after taste.
Not bad for the price. How I feel about most of their big beers

A: A bit darker orange than expected. Not an attractive color for a tripel. Very weak head, leaving behind minimal lacing.
S: The traditional Belgian spice profile, with more phenol than usual.
T: The flavor surprised me, and not in a good way! I had counted on the usual banana, bubblegum, and candy sugar, but phenols dominated, above and beyond what I expected from the nose.
M: A bit weak, minimal carbonation.
O: Not bad, but certainly not a favorite. The same night, I had a Real Ale Devil's Backbone, which (for an American brewer) is a much better choice.

Thanks for another tick, Bobby.
A: Pours a slightly hazed golden orange color with a nice white head and some spots of lacing.
S: I can smell the banana before I even pour the beer in the glass. Big time banana bread aroma and maybe even some banana candy. A touch of spice and maybe a bit of alcohol. Not bad...
T: Quite sweet with a definite banana bread flavor to it. A little bit of a bubblegum thing going on also. The alcohol is not there in flavor, but it does provide some perceptible warming notes. A bit of candi sugar and some light fruits, particularly white grapes and pears.
M: The body is medium with a carbonation that is on the light end of medium.
D: A big improvement from their brown ale. I prefer my tripels on the dry side, but this was not bad at all.

poured from bottle to new belgium tulip
A: light amber color unusual for typically straw colored ale. Beer appears flat. No head, rare bottom origin bubbles.
S: Light amber, crystal malt nose. Barely a touch of coriander typical in trippels.
T: Poor exhibit of traditional trippel ale flavors. The ale tastes as though the yeast is not actually belgian, but belgianesque.
M: Soft on tongue. Little carbonation. Crisp.
D: Poor showing of a trippel. I don't like trippel ales, and even I can say this is a poor showing.

An odd one where the taste is better than the aroma. Pours an orange tinted body (the head disapears as it warms) with a little yeast aroma. Initial taste is yeasty and apple juice. Carbonation is right there. Average mouthfeel, a tad less than expected from the style. Drinkable, it grows on me, but not very drinkable.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip. Bottle says this is an 8% ABV brew.
Appearance: hazy, rich golden-hued body with scads of apparent effervescence. Head is a single finger of fluffy ivory foam with moderate retention properties. Not too bed.
Smell: fruity and estery; I've got tons of banana, plenty of perfumey-floral aroma, and a little apple and pear coming through. It's also got a bit of a chalkiness to it. Overall, I like it, but I typically prefer a more pear-apple kind of thing to a banana kind of thing. Really, it smells more like a good hefeweizen than a tripel.
Taste: absolutely nothing like the aroma. Thick malt with an underpinning of banana are there at first, followed quickly by a big dose of alcohol bite and then a mild bitterness. Sad to say, I'm not crazy about this tripel's flavor characteristics: it's unsubtle, unrefined and uninspiring.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a monstrous carbonation that yields the crème de la crème of cream. If only the beer tasted the way it feels -- spectacular.
Drinkability: despite this beer's interesting (and good) aroma and mind-blowingly awesome mouthfeel, I just can't get past the unimpressive flavor.

From notes taken on April 1st during an in-store event at Big Z in Huntington, NY
The Dick's crew did an event at Blind Tiger the night before and when I stopped down there a few days later there was still a lot of their stuff tapped so it felt like a good kind of deja vu.
I remember liking their Barley Wine the best but I could only find my notes from the Triple.
Poured by Derek the brewery manager into a clear plastic cup.
Slightly cloudy gold with plenty of bubbles at first. Small fizzy white head. Some banana on the nose along with peanut candy.
At first the flavors and texture simulate lemon soda freshness. Mellows almost immediately producing some delicate fruit flavors. There are some hops poking through. Some alcohol warmth and spice but no where near a bomb. Tastes like an American version of a Belgian triple. Does not attack or weigh down the palate. Has depth but maintains a clean character.
