Standard vibe for a Harris Teeter, upscale grocery store with a pretty decent selection of both beer and food. The beer section is easily found by walking straight to the back of the store from the doors. Lots of craft beers in stock, larger selection that most HT's that I have been too which is really great and cheaper than Peabody's for the stuff they both carry. The pick your own six pack section typically has a pretty good selection of singles to try which actually justify their cost of 10 dollars unlike Lowes Foods. Don't expect much service beyond looking in the back if they are out of something on the shelf, if you ask about a beer they aren't going to know about it unless they drink it themselves.

I stopped in here after visiting Peabody's. They had a wonderful selection for a grocery store and even a few "limited release" beers I had to scoop up (Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale and Sierra Nevada Bigfoot)! Good selection of locals and even a few 22's. Better than any other Harris Teeter i've been to. Prices are significantly cheaper (15-30%) than Peabody's for the beers they have in common. They have a build your own 6-pack option here, but you must buy 6 beers. Peabody's might be more per beer, but you can buy as many or as few single's as you'd like.

Definitely worth the stop if you're not looking for anything too rare or specific, for everything else, you have Peabody's just a few miles down the road!

Stopped in when in the area for a Peabody's stop. I seem to always be impressed with Harris Teeter's selection with beer. One of the best grocery chains as far as that is concerned in NC. Beer section is in the back right corner of the store. You can see the large neon lights right when you walk in. The cooler section is huge, much larger than my hometown HT. Good amount of breweries represented, cases, sixers, bombers, and a decent singles section. I wish my local HT had a make-your-own sixer section. This is a great way for budding craft enthusiasts to try different styles. I'm always for that. A good store, but again, with Peabody's in town, I wouldn't go out of my way here for beer alone. But whilst here for food, I could throw in some nice beer.

Visiting a friend in Boone, we stopped by here to pick up groceries, and some wine. I had no idea what the laws for beer here were, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the amount of beer here that I did.

There was of course the regular macro stuff, but there was also Ommegang brews, Stone, Brooklyn Monster, Duvel, Chimay, Unibroue, Great Divide, Rogue, lots of bombers. And all fairly priced!

As far as service goes- well, let's face it, it's a grocery store. They'll look for it in the back for you, but that's about it. They're stockers. And that's okay. Hooray Harris Teeter for keeping your store filled with tasty beers!

This was really not a bad store at all. I did not actually stop in here for brew; to be honest I stopped in for something to eat, but as always checked out the selection. A large cooler aisle waited, and as I got closer it looked to be filled with goodies. Lots of Highland, Terrapin, Great Divide, Rogue, Ommegang, well you get the picture. Prices were more then reasonable and probably about the best I saw up here. There are store with a better selection in town, but this store in SC would be top notch. It has a more then decent selection, but if you were driving through and only going to make one stop you could probably find better elsewhere. But this is defiantly a little bit better then your average grocer.

HT is the third best grocery store to buy beer in Boone. I would hit Earthfare first and then Lowes Food before going to HT. HT is closer to downtown than Lowes Food and probably has better hours than the Earthfare. That's the only reason I could see going here. They do have several local and regional beers as well has the common micros you see in the area. I saw Highland's, Sweetwater and Edenton. Service is what you'd expect in a grocer. In my town this would be an excellent beer destination. In Boone there are better options. If it's open you should go to the Earthfare.

Shadowline is a drive that will sneak up on you as you travel South on 105 so be ready for it if you want to catch Harris Teeter. Then again, not so much going on at HT to go out of the way for, so you may not need to know where it is after all.

The beer aisle is huge, but really doesn't have much interesting to offer. Most of the macros are in the walk in cooler or in the cooler doors while what micro is available is located in open coolers. The most exciting thing they had was Dales Pale Ale and Old Chub.

I doubt I would hit HT again unless it was for a DPA or OC fix at $8 a six pack. Otherwise I'd head for greener pastures at Earth Fare or Lowes Foods.

Like most of the higher end Harris Teeter grocery stores, this one has a pretty good selection of craft beers. As you walk in, the beer is in a cooler towards the back and to the right of the store. When I was there I saw beers from Ommegang, Chimay, Duvel, Sam Smith, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Sweetwater, Spaten and many more. They also carry the full lines of Cottonwood and Edenton beers from North Carolina. Overall, the selection is similar to the Lowes grocery down the road. One particular surprise find was the Rodenbach Grand Cru in a corked 750ml bottle for $8.99. Check this store out, since most of the brews are a little bit cheaper then Peabodys.

Harris Teeter is located high on the hill in Boone on 321 as the city kind of opens up. There are a couple of entrances and signs are visible from the street but are a little small. The selection is great here. I like this store better than Lowes becasue Lowes is all the way on the other side of town on 421 and kind of out of the way. This HT is right in the heart of Boone and just down the street from ASU. Lots of locals like Cottonwood and Highland. Lots of imports and other quality craft beers. Prices are pretty good. A little cheaper than an independent store but that is expected at a graocer. Service is lacking but as long as I know what I want, I dont mind looking.

This place is pretty upscale for a grocery store. The walls were all brick and in the beer area the floors were hardwood. There was a selection of higher alcohol bombers and a decent selection of sixers. I never could find the main entrance along the road. I ended up finding a back way in. The entrance from 321 is not well marked. There was a nice selection of wines as well but I did not spend any time looking at those. Service is what can be expected at a grocery store. I would say this place is comparable to Lowes Foods. I will make my way back here again.
