Yellow with some head. Very drinkable, balanced by Brett like malt. Worth a try.I do not know the exact percentage, but certainly above average alcohol for a sour. Moderate taste to introduce the masses to the wider/sour/funky without overwhelming them. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty copper color ale with no head whatsoever. Aroma of iced cider, light woody notes and funky ester is quite the mix. Taste is unbalanced with clashing notes of apple, wood, funky Brett notes and wet leather. Body is little bit thin with no carbonation. I think I get what they tried to do here but I am not rally digging this one. The lack of carbonation is bit harsh and the flavours seemed unbalanced.

Big thanks to cfrancis for the bottle. Poured with 1 year of age on it.

Pours golden with a tall bubbly head that falls quickly. Nice nose of white grapes, white pepper, tart and a bit of funk. The taste was sweet toasted malt, tart, balsamic vinegar, a bit of funk, some barrel, oak, leather. Medium body, smooth with good but light carbonation. Wow, really nice.

Thanks to jrenihan for this one.

Poured from a 750ml bottle, bottled 030913.

Pours a nice hazy golden body with a voluminous head. Aroma is of white grapes, sourish and very heady. Flavor is a touch acidic, cork, oak, white grapes, perfectly tart.

I find TDD`s sours to be tame compared to its Belgian counterparts, lacks a bit of aggressiveness. Regardless, still a tasty treat.

A couple of glasses during Volo's 25th anniversary. This is a blend of a base beer aged partially in La Butteuse Brassin Speciale barrels, partially in Dulcis Succubus barrels, and some other sources that I do not recall.

Beer is orange with no head.

Nose contains oak, funk and tart fruit. Malt and caramel.

taste is tart and fruity. Light fruits, some nice funk flavours. Oak, vanilla, and some booze. Seemed like bourbon to me but perhaps was the Calvados from La Butteuse. Malty caramel. A lot of flavours, but very nicely integrated and smooth.

Medium bodied, low carboation. Smooth and a bit astringent.

Overall, quite tasty.

750ml bottle poured into 9/10/14, I can't thank Phyl21ca enough for the bottle, my #1 want is about to go into my face

A glowing peachy orange, tiny bubbles everywhere but only a finger of foam, decent retention sticking around for ages as a thick film leaving just a couple random patches of lace

S caramel apple, mild funky oak, soft caramel and pear, faint vanilla, interesting yeast profile and a fair bit going on that I can't place, a little cherry, peaches, and strawberry round things out, very complex

T slightly acidic and sweet at the same time, slightly more woody funk and a little less fruit, tastes great but the nose was out of this world

M the sweet and sour works, this little pin pricks cream up and flatten out, slick on the palate, fruity wood on the finish

O more going on then I can wrap my head around, nice mix of sweet, sour, and just a little woody funk, not booze at any point

LTDD barrel aged stuff is among the best beers I've had from Canada and this ones no exception, lots going on and very easy to drink. I'm not sure if I'd age this one or not if I had a second bottle, I'm just glad I got to try it once, cheers Phyl21ca!!!
