Draft: Poured a bright amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrusy notes is very nice. Taste is a complex and drinkable mix of citrus and resinous notes with lightly bitter final and a solid malt backbone that doesn’t take away from the hops profile. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent reason. Very well brewed and something I wouldn’t mind having access to on amore regular basis.

On tap for Le trou Du Diable event at Volo. Hop aromas, a bit of head. Nelson hops make it white winey. Good mouthfeel, fruity grape, dinkability grows, improves as it warms though served at correct temperature. Overall good, but not outstanding.High IBU for sure.

600ml bottle (again, what's the deal with that?), with what appears to be my first alien invasion motif brew. And only a French brewery would depict the camel on the label smoking a cigarette.
This beer pours a hazy, medium apricot amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some splendid layered and patchy webbed lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, a lesser biscuity toffee sweetness, some dank pine resin, muddled domestic citrus rind, and more leafy, weedy, and gassed-up floral hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, buttery toffee, some orange and white grapefruit citrus pith, something woody that is not entirely unlike cedar, and more hefty weedy, herbal, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly restrained in its lackadaisical frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, as that undercurrent of alcohol starts burbling to the surface. It finishes off-dry, the malt and frooty hops the order of the lingering moment.
Overall - this is a pleasant enough version of the elevated style, with the 18-proof booze quotient keeping to the shadows, for the most part. I presume the whole Dubai thing is a metaphor, but not for anything I can ascertain via admittedly cursory searches. Bah, no matter - I've got another glass to enjoy of this potent elixir.

Pint on tap at Volo for their Trou de Diable night. Pours a beautiful burnt sunset orange with crystal clarity, finger of foamy head has good retention.
Really unique beer that didn't grab me at first but lured me in. Sweet malt base without being sticky, lots of caramel. Tropical fruits mingle with citrus in some sort of NZ hop combo. Hints of honey and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Resiny hop quality, moderate hop bitterness. Scary how well it hides the ABV, could easily gulp this. At first it seemed a little sweet but it balances and the hop profile is both unique and tasty.
Scary drinkable for the ABV, you know it's going to catch up to you. A really nice DIPA, wish this was locally available on tap because it could be a go-to.

Bottled on February 22, drank on the 4th of march!
See through golden, almost amber, in color with a huge foamy white head and lots of carbonation. Smell of fresh hops, there's aromas of grapefruits, pineapple, oranges, lemons. In the mouth it's not as hoppy as expected. You start by tasting the hops but not that much then you mostly taste the malts that have a good sweetness with bread notes. It has a nice long finish where you mostly taste the bread notes and get the bitterness. Nice carbonation in the mouth and a small alcohol burn in the throat.

Pours a very pale golden amber colour, thin bubbly soapy head, slight spots of lace appear. Smells of pine, hop, lemon, floral citrus, malt backbone and a scent that reminds me of white grape. Taste is hoppy, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, dry malt, very floral. Mouthfeel is slick and oily from the hop, just the right amount of carbonation, medium weight, you can really feel this one in your cheeks and teeth. Drinks well, different DIPA but not in a bad way, ABV in this wont allow for all night drinking but it is really good and would like to see this around again.

Beer is amber in colour. A smallish white head fades quickly, but leaves good lacing.
Bready and caramel malt in the nose, as well as some citrus and tropical fruit. I did not find the hop scent to be very strong.
Beer is fairly bitter, but with a big caramel malt backbone. Citrus and tropical fruit- orange sticks out for me. Pretty big flavour. Malt presence is surprisingly prominent.
Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Oily.
Overall, quite good.

Great citrus nose of rich complexity, though taste lacks the same character and has a slight metallic quality. Body a touch thin and a bit boozy for abv, but solid.
