Corner of Ball Rd. & Moody.
Another little gem in Orange County. Beautifully laid out store with wide isles...very clean. Extensive selection of craft brews..I counted 61 different 'bombers' alone not including 6 packs. According to the owner, Tom, every one is per customer request or suggestion. He has a list next to the register where he will take requests and special orders. Besides running a Liquor store, Tom is well versed on the different beers he carries (personal favorite I believe was Belgium Ales) and is happy to talk with you about the different ones available. Prices are very competitive and according to Tom, if anything sits on the shelf for more than 2 weeks, he puts it out at a discount to keep stocks fresh. Nice sale items up front. Largest selection of Stone products I've seen anywhere...this is where I'm picking up my Annual Russian Imperial Stout. (you can still pick up 05.05.05, Old Guardian, Bigfoot, etc at his store as of this review.

Quest Liquor is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Moody and Ball. It's more a typical liquor store than a bottle shop. Not necessarily a bad thing. I saw the typical local craft beers in coolers, a mix of bombers and 6-packs.

The person behind the counter was nice and friendly.

It's nice to have options, and I found this place through BA during a visit. I will be swinging by to grab something again when in the area.

It's just a typical liquor store with your typical liquor store beers and your typical liquor store funk and smell. All the usual suspects including Steele Reserve and Old English. The "fancy" beers they have are some Sierra Nevada, a few six packs of Stone Pale Ale, and I saw some Rogue Dead Guy Ale there too. All stuff I can find at my local Ralphs, and for cheaper too.

Over all not impressed. I wouldn't avoid this place, but I'd only stop by if I was in a fix and it was extremely convenient. Don't go out of your way, you'll be disappointed. There's a Bev-mo about three miles away, you'd be much off driving the extra few minutes.

Stopped here after going to Beverages and More in Cypress to pick up my Firestone Eleven, on the corner of Moody St. and Ball Rd.

They had about four fridges that were all craft beer, they had some good stuff like Deschutes Hop Trip, Stone 11th Anniversary, Stone Russian Imperial Stout, Alesmith Speedway Stout, some Ballast Points

Various six packs included brews from Deschutes, Rogue, Anderson Valley, Firestone, Bear Republic, Samuel Smith, and Green Flash

One cooler was filled with mostly Belgian beer, some of the ones that I remember are Duvel, Lindemans, Gulden Draak, Piraat, St. Bernardus, and Chimay

Three other coolers with the normal macro lagers, Miller, Bud, and Coors, did not pay much attention to this

Prices were a little higher than I am used to paying, but nothing too bad, did not really talk to anybody because there were several people in the store talking about the lottery

The place is fairly clean for a typical liquor store, probably would not go back here because they did not have anything I cannot get at the places closer to my apartment

I knew i would be in this area for a work appointment so i checked beerfly, saw this, and voila.

This liquor store is in a small strip mall at the end and on the corner of Moody and Ball Rd. Looks nice and clean from the out side. There was a picnic table in the store to the left as you walk in. An old timer was sitting down filling out some lotto tickets and hitting the scratchers. (He was enjoying himself and that was nice to see). Nice and clean inside, rather crisp.

The beer is to the left towards the middle of the store and takes up about 3 and a half coolers. The had all the Stone regulars in addition to the RIS and OG. There's a good representation of the microbeers here. You have Rogue, Deschutes, Sierra Nevada, Anchor, Green Flash, Ballast Point along with Fullers, Old Speckeled Hen, Spaten... the usual suspects (and i mean that in a good way) and some uncommon belgians that i cant remember the names of. All in all a good representation. What got me was the plastic bottles of Oggi's Golden Ale. I had been looking for this at Hi Times, Hollingshead and Bevmo but no luck and here it was in this little liquor store. Pretty fricken cool.

The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and brought me a basket for my goods. When i told him he had a real beer selection he smiled and the old timer gave out a jolly laugh. We talked beer, laughed, i mentioned beer advocate then the guy pulled out an ordering sheet. He asked if i needed anything that he didnt carry so i circled some Lost Abbey Lost and Found and Alesmith IPA. He then said to come back next Thursday... which i will. I thought that was pretty cool. Very nice guy and nice store!!!
