Received in a sample pack from my son & his wife on their return from a visit to Chile.

Pours a rich amber color with little head or lacing, but the head & lacing could be due to a slow pour on my part.

Aroma is mostly malty with apple notes. Taste is the same, with a nice hop bite coming afterwards, leaving a mixture of sweet malt & bitter hop flavors. Mouthfeel is decent, not thin, complimented by a good carbonation zest. At 5% ABV, it would make an acceptable session beer.

Not exactly what I'd expect from a US amber, but good enough to drink again. Considering that Kross is one of the few microbreweries south of the Panama Canal, I'll give them an A for effort. Definitely a better choice if you're in Central/South America than the other more well-known adjunct lagers from that region. I wouldn't mind ordering one here in the US, for that matter.

I'd love to sample their beers fresh and do a comparison, if anyone has a ticket to Santiago they're not going to use.

Bought a 710cc bottle and tapped it in a small tulip glass and even if you tap it slow it gives a lot of foam, more then half the glass which I like. After it settles it gives a nice copper coloured appearance that looks like a nice amber golden style of ale. It gives a sweet and malty smell. The taste is quit sweet, no alcoholic taste at all and have a nice full body. With a bit more taste of hops I would rate it higher, overall a really nice golden ale.

Pours an orange-tinged golden colour with modest head, off-white with visible bubbles. Just a cloud on the top left, but lace is decent. Looks OK.

Smell is not bad, actually. Bit sweet though, fairly grainy with hints of golden syrup and shredded wheat cookies. Slight lemony tang at the back adds some diversity to it, but nothing amazing.

Taste is fairly tangy upfront, mostly just ale yeast off-whoots and esters, with mild lemon and a slightly astringent herbal note midway. Finish is lacking in cleanliness with sweet grain rising to the surface again, slight apple juice, honey and oatmeal. Pretty bland, but there's nothing particularly off-putting here.

Flat and uninteresting feel, though. Body's there but it's pretty much untextured.

Not really a fan, but I went in with low expectations. Not disappointed, just vindicated.

Slightly hazy copper color with a thin head.
Sweet yeasty aroma with toasted malt notes.
Flavor of sweet caramel and toasted malts, yeast, herbal hops and spices. Hints of apple juice and a tangy citrusy. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
A malty Amber Ale, tasty but could be more hoppy to balance the increasing sweetness as it warms up.

This beer pours a sweet light burnt copper colour and smells very malty and toffeeish with hardly any hop smell at all in fact all i can smell is a sweet biscuty/toffee aroma which is quite pleasant to the nose it is moderatley carbonated as an amber ale should and the taste is quite smooth with a sweet finish, will def try again.

Unexpected surprise. My efforts at trying beers from non-traditional countries usually leads to tasteless pale lagers. This pours a nice amber (duh!) with medium head, sweet malt aroma with some fruit and honey. Taste is butterscotch, more honey, malt, hops. Mouthfeel is perfect, medium weight ber, with just enough lingering on the palate. Well done!

Very light aroma of toffee and a hint of bready Munich-type malt. Very low hop profile.

Nice, clear, amber colour with a small, creamy off-white head.

Sweet, malty, almost Munich lager like in terms of flavour profile. A moderate, crisp bitterness is good and helps balance the sweet, maltiness. Dry finish.

Medium-low body with moderately-hight carbonation. Not bad though it is a little prickly.

A tasty, malty ale. I personally prefer a more hopped up Golden ale but it ain't bad.
