12 oz bottle, poured into a stemmed tulip style glass. I like grapefruit, so I like the hint that was added to King of Hop. King of Hop is my opinion, is already a well balanced IPA, so adding a touch more bitterness and citrus makes it a good beer.

Slightly hazy and deep gold with a white head that leaves moderate lacing. A big blast of green onion in the nose with some grapefruit sneaking in. The taste is decent grapefruit and malt sweetness with a lot of pine bitterness. Pretty decent brew but I would expect more grapefruit from a grapefruit beer.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, hazy, golden yellow coloring, with a slow roll of carbonation throughout the body, and a low profile, clingy, white head. Aromas of tart and sweet grapefruit, subtle piney notes, and grassy highlights. Very aromatic. Flavors are all grapefruit forward, tart and fruity, with dry and grassy notes to follow, and some piney highlights, all balancing on a cracker backbone. The body is light, slightly effervesced, and dry. Grapefruit sweet aftertaste, with a grassy and bitter hops linger, too. The finish is light, crisp, and dry. Good beer. Solid grapefruit characteristics, but still balanced and flavorful.
