Served in pint glass, this beer has a darker gold color and hoppier aftertaste than the average lager. I am a fan of a slightly maltier brew than this, but did order a second glass. Jomo Lager would be a good complement to a basic pub-food menu, but it is not a beer I would go searching after.

I tried this at the Roanoke, VA location. It poured a clear amber with thin white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had hints of malt. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt base and slight bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.

12 oz bottle poured into a stemmed glass. Dark amber color. A nice, balanced Vienna style lager. I've always enjoyed this beer, had it on tap at an old restaurant I used to work ask. Always found it smooth, and can easily throw back a few of these.

12oz bottle into a shaker pint.
A: Pours a clear copper/amber with 1/2" off white head that recedes pretty quickly. Retention & lacing are nonexistent.
S: Mild bready notes with a bit of malty/crackery sweetness. Simple but enjoyable.
T: Off-sweet cracker/caramel up front. Perfectly subtle hop bitterness counteracts through the mid-palate. Finishes slightly metallic.
M: Moderate carb & actually a lighter, crisper (than typical for the style) body make for a fairly refreshing experience.
O: Nothing earth-shattering, but it makes for a nice sipper on a lazy day.
