Nice to see Starr Hill with a new DIPA.Poured into an oversized wine glass a dull burnt orange infused golden with a thinner but clingy white head atop.Good hop complexity in the aromas with a mix of mango, grapefruit, and resiny pine notes overtop of a sweetish caramel base.A little sharp at first sip and a tad thin but it doesnt detract from the beer to much.Resiny hops and sugary-like alcohol sweetness are the main flavor components, the hops stick out more as the beer warms,a good prickly sharp hop bite in a lingering finish.A solid offering from a decent brewery.

)n tap at the 2014 Secret Stash Bash (Atlanta).
Pours deep and dark amber. Modest but durable head.
Aroma: Interesting aroma is hoppy, as expected, but has an unusual character that is floral and herbal but otherwise rather hard to describe.
Flavor is more earthy, with mild to moderate bitterness.
Medium body and carbonation.
O: for hop heads.

A: Poured a clear golden/copper color with a small off-white head. Very little retention or lacing.
S: Had a definite vegetal/onion/garlic aroma. Faint citrus underneath, but the off-putting aromas really dominated.
T: The flavor profile followed the aroma, sort of cat piss and onions. Very unpleasant.
M: Hard to really tell because the flavor was so bad.
O: One of the worst beers I have had, a drainpour. Bottle date was mid-February as well, so I can't see age really being a factor.
