This beer has been around for about 20 years. Pours a yellow in the standard SRM realm for such a thing. For being a wheat beer there doesn't seem to be much in the way of hazy particulate floating around. Aroma is a feint blueberry and some grainish-ness.

Taste, a little sweet, lacking the 'beerness' of a beer, just hits with sweet, smooth, nothing much in terms of hops or malt to speak of flavor wise. Not super terrible, but I would have to say probably below average in terms of beer, fruit or otherwise, just not impressive under any standard or genre. Too much sweet, not enough fruit, malt, hops, yeast etc. . .

Put a little butter in this one and call it a muffin....albeit a pretty damn refreshing muffin...

I poured this Maine offering into my hefe glass to find a crisp, clear looking golden ale with a nice ultra white cloudy head (it did not have that unfiltered haze that you find in a lot of wheats). The smell was actually fairly mild, with hints of dried wheat and blueberries carrying most of the workload. The taste of blueberries is present, but not overwhelmingly sweet by any means. The light malt and mild hoppy finish make this beer well balanced.

This wheat ale had a very light mouth feel, making it a great summer or session option. This beer paired great with grilled western style burgers (BBQ sauce, cheddar, onion rings etc... )and BBQ chicken. Don't think for a second though, that this beer won't make a Sunday morning football breakfast or two. Some scrambled eggs with cream cheese and chives, sliced ham, and a blueberry brew. Enjoy.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass at 40 degrees.

Definitely one of my top blueberry beers. Pours a light golden with a small head that didn't stick around too long. Smells of sweet blueberries that mirrored the taste. Goes down smoothly with a wheat aftertaste that lingers for a little while. Very drinkable for a sweet, fruit beer.

I poured this beer into a standard pint glass. It has a clear, pale golden color to it, not at all what I would expect from a wheat, fruit beer or not. The head is very small and dissipates rather quickly to a fine ring. The smell is overwhelmingly blueberry, malt and hops are non-existent. Upon tasting, the blueberry is right out there. There is a very small hop bitterness to it, almost imperceptible, and also a slight gingery taste. The body is medium with moderately light carbonation.

This beer is way too sweet from my taste, almost wine cooler sweet. It was disappointing, as I've had blueberry wheats at beer festivals that I really liked, and would prefer over this one. However, my wife loved it.

OK... call me names if you want - I actually really like this beer! Among the "fruity" beers, this is actually one of my favorites. I suppose that could be due to the lack of blueberry beer options in the Hartford area... but... I still like it!

It pours light and translucent a yellowish gold color and it definitely smells of blueberries, with a somewhat hoppy smell as well. There is a pale off white colored head. The blueberry flavor is just a little sweet (perhaps too sweet for some, but that's why I like it!). I guess it sort of comes off tasting like a light beer but with the blueberry flavor. It feels smooth in your mouth and it goes down smoothly as well - it is a fast drink. It's cool and refreshing and now that it is getting warmer out I will likely enjoy it on a hot summer day.

What an interesting beer! Poured a very golden amber color with a white head that did not last any time at all. The smell was BLUEBERRY, a very strong blueberry smell with a hint a sweetish malt. It really smelled like a blueberry muffin.

The taste was a very sweet crisp blueberry flavor. There was a strong blueberry flavor with and nice wheat malt background. The after taste what tart and had still a taste of blueberry. Mouthfeel was very thin and the CO2 was a little strong.

A very different beer and worth a try if you are interested in Fruit Beers or like blueberries.
