Presentation: 12 oz. brown long neck with no freshness date to be found.

Appearance: Golden with a well retaining white lace.

Smell: Floral and citric hop with a mild sweetness in the nose.

Taste: Crisp and semi dry with a citric peel flavour, some bitterness, some fruit, a handful of grain, mild diacetyl and other faint by-products of the Ringwood yeast strain.

Notes: Not a bad brew here, just that the Ringwood yeast strain has no place and distracts from the style. Other than that it is a pretty enjoyable brew.

The last of my "Motley Crew" sampler box, this bottle pours a clear, medium amber body with a small, offwhite head that quickly disappears. Minimal patch lace.

Aroma is fruity hops, grapefruit and apricot, and a butterscotch maltiness.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with a mild, spicy hop bite.

Taste is bitter, with a herbal and spicy hops prominence. Pale and/or crystal malts are underneath. Finish is dry and slightly bitter.

A bit above average for an American golden ale, which I don't consider a stellar style. Still, this is decent, either as a sipper or session ale.

Pours a clear yellow with a rather large whhite head. Solid ring of lacing around the edge of the glass.

Smells weakly of hops and bread.

Tastes as good as one can expect from a purified beer. Highly filtered. Little dabs of malt and caramel come out, but mostly they are held down. Finishes with a weak hop cry.

Mouthfeel is moderate. Cleaned for the masses.

Very drinkable for the washed masses. Would make a nice alternative to a light beer. Not really my thing.

Nice lighter beer.Good hops, barely a head when poured. Not over powering, truely thirst quenching. Tastes like a year round summer beer but only better. I will definitely enjoy this again.

Poured on tap from the pub in Topsham ME to the rim.

Since they pour so much in their pints, there is virtually no head to describe. The body is very clean with some very good bubble carbonation from the bottom, and a nice dark gold with minimal lacing.

Bouquet on this is a good solid big bread chew mix of white like bread and yeast.

Upon taste there is a good decent somewhat biscuit chewyness but a very bad finish of alcohol and chemicals. No hop tasting bitters either and good body with some faint fruit thus making for average drinkability.

On tap at the Great Lost Bear.......Golden color with crisp, faint white head. Head lasted long enough. Nice earthy, full beer like aromas, which I guess is the Ringwood smell that others mention. It's just fine with me. Taste is pleasantly full of malt, and crisp snappy hop bite to finish. Light bodied, but very full of flavors. Very drinkable beer. No negative slimy tastes linger like blonde ales tend to get. I was very impressed with this one. Much better than expected, especially for a blonde ale.

The dark translucent gold color as it’s capped by the brilliant white semi creamy head makes a fine picture, and the lace from it’s demise seals the glass nicely, sweet crisp nose that has a pleasing freshness to the senses, front is nicely malted, top middling in feel. Finish has a median acidity, with the hops producing a benign spiciness, very dry aftertaste, and a nice quaffable beer.

Pour golden with a small head with minimal retention.

Has some hop smell as well as some malt, nothing overpowering.

The taste is a bit light at first but finishes with some hop bitterness. An average blonde ale that goes down easily enough and can be enjoyed multiply times.

Pours a clear medium golden color with small white head that falls to ring of foam with a few clumps of foam floating in the middle.
Aroma light fruity hops mixed with some grassy aromas on a very light malt backdrop. Some vinegar hints noted as well i nose but don't show up in the flavor at all.
Taste is light crisp slightly fruity little peary in flavor some barn yard musty flavors also in the mix a little zest from carbonation felt also.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp as one would expect from a blonde ale good thirst quincher.
Drinkability is ok not much of a light ale fan but this doesn't seem much different then most. Thanks to merlin48 and his neighbor for this sample.

(Bought in Sweden - not in Systembolaget's ordinary selection, listed as "coincidentally in store"). This beer has a deep golden colour and pours with a good head. It has a lovely fruity aroma - there is some oak and spices too. Flavour is malty and rounded, still with a great bitterness. This is quite simply a good beer - wish it were imported to Norway!

Tap at the brew pub in Northborough, MA.

Very light fizzy head, crystal clear amber blond color.

Nose has very light malts, light fruit, light sweet almost syrup addition, hint of grainy malts.

Taste is light but nice, light sweeter malts, bit grainy and toasty, bit earthy malt and toasty straw, light fruit and sweetness, grassy noble like hops, gets more bitter, a bitter icky flavor on the finish like herbal back of the tongue grassy almost vegetative, but also a drier finish.

Mouth is lighter bodied, decent carb.

Overall not as bad as I was expecting but not great, nose is light, taste starts nice but a bad finish. Drinkable though.

Into a pint glass:

A: very light yellow colored body with no lacing, and no rings. No carbonation is seen rising. An ever so small white head less than a film dissipated within seconds.

S: some light malts with just a bit of graininess to it.

T: some of the grains come back with the malts, mainly balanced, but nothing spectacular. A bit grassy and herbal.

M: light, sessionable, with no carbonation felt in my mouth. It had a balanced clean dry finish to it.

O: not a bad beer, though it was nothing spectacular it does the trick on a warm day. I would have this again, most likely grillin'.

The beer pours a pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a dry, pale malt scent along with a slight fruitiness and bitter aroma. The taste is average. It has a weak, pale malt flavor with low hops and a bone dry finish. There is a little fruitiness present, but nothing too pronounced. The mouthfeel is average as well. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is your typical blonde ale. It could use a bit more malt character. The taste is definitely lacking.
