A 330ml clear glass bottle with a BB of June 2014. Acquired some time back from a supermarket. The label says Faversham Steam Brewery, which I suppose is a sort of craft beer 'front' for Shepherd Neame. It also makes a claim of a floral aroma and a buttery biscuit base - ha!

Poured into a straight pint glass. A clear pale-gold colour with medium carbonation. Forms a decent head of white foam that lasts for a minute or so before dissipating. Aroma of light malt and subtle grassy hops with a faint twinge of spice. Average.

Tastes of light malt with a mild, dry finish. Notes of grass/hay, mild noble hop character, watery malt, faint yeast esters and a hint of stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a delicate bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with spritzy carbonation and a thin, watery body. Mildly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of of weak stewed leaves and little else.

Meh - bland. Lacklustre looks, while the aroma and flavour have some mild grassy hop notes to them. Watery body. It has a shade of noble hop character that places it on a tier above macro-brew, but only just. Can't say the buttery biscuit base was much in evidence. Pretty forgettable - no need to seek it out.

This reminds me of Badger Glory, for its apricot flavours on the one hand and strong Belgium beer on the other.
Available in Tesco in the World Beer section. Currently my favourite beer. Just wish I could get it in more places ! £1.50 for 33cl. Seems quite expensive.
Have been a life long bitter drinker. Tried this as have had their Kingfisher before. Well worth hunting down IMHO. Now can I please have 6 crates ?

Clear 330ml bottle, poured (twice) into a Veltins badged stemmed tulip at home on 27th Nov 13.

Pale, even for a pale lager, clear and bright though: thin white head on each pour.

Really citrus nose, lemon notes leading the way: like a Toilet Duck without the bleech element (thank goodness).

The taste is also very citrusy, refreshing and semi-bitter in the aftertaste: crisp and tangy, but not my sort of Blonde.

Bog standard lager in my eyes, but a little too citrusy for me.

Pours a sickly pale lemon body with a huge frothing white head that quickly compresses

Aroma is mainly copper coins some vogue hint of B.O.

Flat in the taste some mineral like qualities and the merest suggestion of malt

Thin & fizzy mouthfeel

I am not a huge lager fan but this is just empty alcohol units
