Vibrant as a summer sun and über refreshing, this classic German Hefeweizen is soft on the palate with an effervescent finish.

Not a hefe fan but this is one of best had, solid without overbearing.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a weizen glass.
Poured a pale straw with moderate head that recedes to sticky lace and a wisp. Moderate cloud with active carbonation climbing.
Aroma is of banana bread and candy sugar. Slight aroma of clove or cardamom. Slight band-aid phenols barely there. Crackery malt finishes the nose.
Flavor opens sweet with the banana sweetness. Yeast and Crystal malt in the middle. Following flavor is a nice dose of hop bitterness, unexpected as there are no hops on the nose. Finished slightly sweet but dried quite nicely.
Mouthfeel is to be expected with lively carbonation biting.
A good example of a German Hefe-Weizen even if a little sweet. I believe the malt bill being bigger causing the higher than style ABV adds to the sweetness.

Pours a hazy yellow with o white head, minimal lacing. Aroma of clove and banana. Taste is similar with a hint if citrus. Creamy texture, great carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. I'm not very familiar with Hefe's so I don't have much to compare it too, but I like it.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Canning date stamped on can bottom is 'PKGD ON 41718'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Good three finger white head upon pouring dissipates quickly to bubbly cap and ring. Some scattered spots of lacing left behind.
Aroma of banana and clove, with a rubber tire type smell.
Taste is rather acrid for a hefe, but includes the flavors of wheat, banana, and clove.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Tastes and smells somewhat like a hefeweizen but is rather unpleasant to sniff and to drink.

Had on tap. Very light hefeweizen. To the point of watery on the body. The smell is classic, with banana, clove and wheat taking the lead. The taste is a watered down version of the smell.
