Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to gunnar. Deep golden colour, large white head. Intense sweetish aroma with loads of crystal malts, slightly stale orange marmalade, and loads of American hops. Sweet flavour with insane amounts of American hops. Maybe not "overkill", but pretty close.

[Original rating 2011-06-17] On tap at Redbones. Dark golden/amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is massive hops, lots of grapefruit and pine. Taste is citrusy hops and black pepper, with a hint of alcohol, but at 10% it’s pretty well covered. Great mouth feel, thick but with lively carbonation.

2016 vintage with 11% abv tasted in a 12 oz snifter from draft at The Vine on January 8, 2017. This is a really good "strong" double IPA without the usual high abv sting. There are no alcohol esters in the nose, nor is there any boozy burn on the tongue. Another winner from Port Brewing and highly recommended.

Draught at BeerHead in Pittsburgh. Lot's of honey and fruit syrup. Strong and bursting with fruit and a little bit of dankness. This was a nice sipper.

From Zombier. 6€ 66cl. In Teku glass. Playing Broken Sword 4. Very resinous. Reminds me my beloved Pseudosue but this one is just a tiny step below because its higher ABV, which is very well hidden but goes up to the head pretty quickly

Cloudy, orange - light amber color. The bartender needed to top the glass multiple times. Nearly a blanket for lace.
The smell starts with semisweet caramel and a light flowery hop.
Smooth beer with plenty of carbonation. The flavor starts a bit muddy with crystal malt flavors blended with a hop spice. Decently balanced. The finish becomes very bitter with a strong essence of alcohol with a burn in the throat. Long aftertaste.
