Poured from the standard 22oz bomber into a tulip glass. I was fiending for a good IPA and as I walked into my local beer store I spotted this on a special end-cap display. I love Port Brewing and Pizza Port brews so this was a no brainer.
A- poured a beautiful amber orange with a nice fluffy...what? wait a minute... this beer is flat and lifeless! Burned!! A thin white ring of oily bubbles lined the rim of the glass. Very disappointing.
S: Grapefruit, various citrus, pine, cantaloupe, fruity pebbles whatever... this would probably be explosive if the carbonation was there. Again, very disappointing.
T: it's a credit to the brewer that this beer is drinkable. Oily yes, but plenty of rich malts and a good hop bite. Classic Port Brewing IPA in a crappy delivery system...
M: oily, syrupy, flat, lifeless.
D: I'm drinking this on principle alone, I payed a high price for this beer that I was expecting to be the flagship of the IPAs I brought home. Sadly this was not the case.
Something went seriously wrong with quality control on this one. I still love you Port, but I'm going to be very cautious from now on...

Old review. Light orange color, very thin white head on it, 1/10". Aroma was a let down for a Port beer, they have a very short shelf life it seems. I think this one was Simcoe heavy.
Gigantaur bitterness, too boozy, just way to big, kind of a mess beer. Just swingin' that hop sledgehammer all over this one, no delicate touches, but no off flavors either.
