Spring IPASpring IPA
Notes: The sun will be shining, the tree's will be budding, and the hops will be bursting when you crack a can of our New England-style Spring IPA. Bright, citrusy, and dripping with hop juice - this new session IPA sings with notes of tangerine from a blend of Calypso and Citra hops. We hope you enjoy!

Comes in a completely hazy, opaque bright straw color with a small sticky white head. Moderate retention, with rings of lacing.

Smells of big orange and lemon; the oils, pith, and seeds. Some pineapple, cracker, and hay as well. Slightly grassy.

The taste is watered down orange juice/orange drink, lemon, honeydew melon, and pineapple. Soft crackery malt with dough and grass. A lightly drying, slightly chalky finish.

Light, but not watery. Moderately carbonated. Smoothly rounded, almost slightly creamy.

A really good session IPA, one of the best I've had, and NE-style. Great session IPA.

Happy New CANned Modern Twin Peak Evil Times Beer Sunday (Week 744), Round 3! The CANQuest (tm) is getting a good workout.

From the CAN: "A session IPA for Springtime"; "Local sourcing[,] Bright juicy hops[,] Certified organic"; "The best ingredients in beer".

My excitement may have been misplaced since it was a CANbination Session IPA as well as a NE hazy IPA, but I Crack!ed open the vent & gave it a C-Line Glug all the same. I was met with just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with modest retention. Thankfully, I got some nice lacing in the bargain, so all was not lost. Color was a hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose had a nice grapefruit citrusiness, but I have been burned by aroma hops in the past, so I was reserving my remaining enthusiasm for what was to (possibly) come. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but big for the style. The taste was slightly bitter with a grapefruit-like presence, but I still felt like it lacked something. Like Ooomph! It simply had no presence. I felt like I was missing something after each sip due to its ethereal nature. 8=( Finish was dry & refreshing, but so were many other beers. This one did nothing for me. YMMV.

Sipped on during a sunny spring day outside in NYC, and this beer couldn't have matched the environment better. Poured hazy golden with a frothy head that stuck till the end. Only slightly bitter, but not too sweet either. The perfect combination to represent Spring.

The can sets forth a statement that this is a "session IPA for springtime" - maybe so but it's not yet spring and the product was very enjoyable last night. Much more flavorful than many session IPA's I've consumed yet still light and dry enough to meet the needs of a session product. I'd be inclined to consider it a solid session product for any season and will definitely enjoy it during whatever time frame its available.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a large patch of bubbles on the surface and some lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of stone fruit are present in the nose along with hints of pears.
T: The taste follows the smell and is a bit stronger, with flavors of stone fruit and notes of pears and hints of lime. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a bit of crispness and a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite sessionable and goes down very easily. I liked the pears in the smell and taste, which is something you don't normally get from an IPA.

From the 12 fl. oz. can with a best by date of 08/16/18. Sampled on April 28, 2018.

It pours a cloudy looking pale yellow-amber with a quick-lived white head. Opaque.

The aroma has an abundance of citrus and herbal hop sensations along with a more subtle grainy white bread character.

Light and refreshing body with a kind of effervescence to it.

For a Session IPA, the flavor is far more bold than I would have expected with a bountiful barrage of citrus and juicy hops and a somewhat sweet sourdough bread mellowness. The finish is clean.

A: Pours a yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Lots of citrus up front along with a touch of malt and some earthy notes

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with light citrus notes, bready malt, and a moderate bitterness. Some light pine and earthy notes in there as well

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A great session IPA that has a great nose and follows up with the taste, although it is definitely on the lighter side. Extremely easy to drink. Perfect for spring

Spring IPA - Peak Organic
Session IPA - 4.7% abv
Canned 2/16/18 (30 days ago)
Purchased for $2.49 at Monde Market

L - 1/2 finger offwhite head atop a glowing yellow body.

S - citrus, floral, bread, some spicyness. The nose is all over the place.

T - vegetal hope at first. Cooked cabbage and broccoli. Cheese. Moderately dank. A small amount of citrus and pine. Low booze, low sweetness, low bitterness.

F - medium-light body with high carb.

O - If you dig Broccoli and Cheddar soup, I’m guessing you’ll love this beer. Impressive depth of flavor for a session beer. I just don’t dig any of these flavors.
