Poured from a 12 oz. can. And yes, that can did come from the incredible woodychandler. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of wheat, lemons. Taste is the same, wheat, lemons, light tartness, very easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing beer.

L: Golden to brassy yellow, white head disappearing quickly.

S: Lovely piney, lemony, bready dankness. Almost like fresh pulled onion weeds.

T: Citrus, honey, piney bitterness at the back.

F: Light/thin.

O: Tasty and refreshing ale for the Summer.

Citrus smell and taste with notes of grapefruit. Just the right amount of hops for the style. Not your typical wheat brew. Nice white head with lacing that lingered. Moderate to heavy carbonation. A perfect summer companion.

Pours a pale gold with moderate haze. 1 finger white head doesn't last long. Minimal lacing.

Aroma is citrusy hops, pleasant but not overpowering. Lemon and a bit of grapefruit.

More citrus in the taste. Lemon, grapefruit, and orange. Some pale malt and caramel. Not getting the wheat beer aspect. Seems like more of true pale ale to me. Still tasty though.

Moderate body and mouth feel with medium+ carbonation. Just the right amount of hoppy bitterness.

A very pleasant but unassuming beer. Not particularly complex but simple and crisp works well.

Peak summer has been one of my favorites for the past couple of years. I was really excited with the move to cans as well.

This year, I have had it several times on tap as well as purchased at the store and it has been terrible. Very onion-y, off aroma, not typical of Amarillo hops. Body is good, cloudy, which is to be expected with the wheat, however the aroma detracts from everything else.
Maybe it's due to some recipe screw up since it is contract brewed.

What a shame. I really liked Peak.

Dope beer. Favorite summer right now, might be my desert-island beer
