Poured from a can (natural living center, Bangor, ME) marked march 28/2016 into a pint glass. Pours a hazy straw color with minimal head and minimal lacing. The smell is the best part of the brew in my opinion smells of lemon grass, lime, orange peel, and toasted malt. Tastes of pretty much the same except the malt doesnt balance out the hoppiness as much as I would like. Mouthfeel is thin but not watery, great for a summer session. Overall a pretty good beer, I love the local idea and the organic twist. Perfect for a day on the water. 3.75/5

The beer comes in a lightly hazy gold color.

The aroma hits of lemon peel, hints of diacetyl, wheat, pale malts.

The flavor follows with pale malts, dry crackers, grass, floral, hints of citrus peel, lingering wheat, with a light hop bitterness.

The mouthfeel is medium light with a medium high carbonation.

A gentle sessionable

How baffling! I DO have a CAN to add to The CANQuest (tm) and today is its day! I CAN hardly CANtain my excitement!

From the CAN: "Pure Ingredients, Delicious Beer".

Ah, what a wondrous Crack! I followed it with an inverted Glug which raised two fingers of rocky, soapy, bone-white head with limited retention in the face of today's humidity, Color was a hazy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4). Nose was filled with Saaz hops and a lemoniness that made me think of lemongrass. Jeez, I suddenly want to go for sushi! Mouthfeel was medium, but utterly soft, laying still on my tongue as I allowed it to loll around. The taste was immensely lemony, more towards lemon biscotti from Enrico's in Pittsburgh, but still with a bit of grassiness. Finish was semi-dry to dry, but very pleasant on a hot, humid summer evening.

I have a number of Peak Organic beers, both bottle & CAN, awaiting drinking & review & I have decided to run through as many of them as possible today. How odd that tone77 credits me with providing him with a CAN & yet, I have a bottle!

From the bottle: "Pure ingredients, delicious beer".

Knowing from previous experience that their bottled beers come with screw-top openings, I did not waste time or effort in Pop!ping it open. A twist to the left & I was in business! I could not bring myself to do an aggro pour since it seemed to have good clarity in the bottle. If it was supposed to be cloudy, I will decant any lees at the end of the beer. An in-glass swirl raised a finger of foamy, bone-white head with decent retention. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, causing the Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus to unexpectedly drop in for a taste. Nose smelt of lemon zest & my late-Pops Wheaties. He ate them for breakfast almost religiously & I will never forget that smell. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but not so thin as to be considered watery. The taste was very lemony, but a wheat/biscuit malt breadiness helped to make it very quaffable. In fact, I had drank off over half of it without even thinking. Finish was semi-dry. It had a lemony quality, but it was held in check to the point that it was not overly bitter or dry. I will be very curious to see how it does from a CAN. In the interim, I have a final pour from this bottle to finish off. There really was not much change in clarity with the exception of a little bit of lees at the end.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. And yes, that can did come from the incredible woodychandler. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of wheat, lemons. Taste is the same, wheat, lemons, light tartness, very easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing beer.

L: Golden to brassy yellow, white head disappearing quickly.

S: Lovely piney, lemony, bready dankness. Almost like fresh pulled onion weeds.

T: Citrus, honey, piney bitterness at the back.

F: Light/thin.

O: Tasty and refreshing ale for the Summer.

Citrus smell and taste with notes of grapefruit. Just the right amount of hops for the style. Not your typical wheat brew. Nice white head with lacing that lingered. Moderate to heavy carbonation. A perfect summer companion.

Pours a pale gold with moderate haze. 1 finger white head doesn't last long. Minimal lacing.

Aroma is citrusy hops, pleasant but not overpowering. Lemon and a bit of grapefruit.

More citrus in the taste. Lemon, grapefruit, and orange. Some pale malt and caramel. Not getting the wheat beer aspect. Seems like more of true pale ale to me. Still tasty though.

Moderate body and mouth feel with medium+ carbonation. Just the right amount of hoppy bitterness.

A very pleasant but unassuming beer. Not particularly complex but simple and crisp works well.
