This autumn ale is a showcase of the mighty Summit hop. Our friend Jason grows amazing Summits that combine pine, spice and captivating citrus aromas. A good dose of toasted malts provides warm, rich flavors to contrast the hops on the front palate. Cold fermentation gives a surprisingly crisp finish. We hope you enjoy this unique fall brew.

Pours a clear deep amber/pale brown with a reddish hue producing a shy 2 fingers of moderately lasting, khaki, frothy head that leaves a clumpy rings & streaks of webby lacing. Aroma is citrus, floral & pine hops backed by toffee & caramel. This is one of the hoppiest Amber ales in the nose I have ever encountered & aptly so since it is named after a hop variety. Taste is a disappointment after the promise of the nose being much less robust & a little thin. Much more malty than the nose as would be expected for the style but more hoppy & not quite as malty as you would expect an amber to be. The mouth produces notes of dark bread, caramel, toast, fruit & nuts followed by pine, citrus & floral hops. The sip finishes dry with caramel, roast, spice, pepper & an increasing hop bitterness. Afrertaste is a dry, astringent & bitter. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation, dry, prickly with a pleasant astringency. The most bitterness I have encountered in a Amber since Ballast Point's Calico.

Look: Pours a medium amber. Crystal clear all the way through. Short lasting white head.
Aroma: Very hop forward. In fact, so hop forward I'm almost inclined to think they bottled an IPA by accident.
Taste: Citrusy hops, dry malts. Not a ton of flavor.
Feel: Medium bodied; foams up in the mouth. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Not so sure what is so "fall" about this beer. Average all around.

Drank from the bottle from a sample package. Has a great citrusy, flowery smell and a flowery taste with the same lingering finish. The taste was not what I was expecting with the binge being a fall beer. I would put this beer on draft at my bar.
