Style: American Dark Wheat Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Winter

Notes / Commercial Description:
This winter wheat beer uses dark malting to provide subtle toasty notes. We then single-hop and dry-hop this beer with Citra hops from our friend Brad’s farm. Interesting pineapple notes from the Citra hop provide a stark contrast to the toasty notes in the body. An engaging and sessionable Winter Seasonal.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog
Mostly clear deep copper color with a thin off white head that dissipates quickly. Toasty butterscotch on the nose with bits of earthy citrus to counter. Flavor follows the aroma. I'm not sure how fresh that bottle was but there wasn't a whole lot of hop character.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Darker brown with a thin beige head.

Smell: Malts, maybe some molasses.

Mouthfeel/ Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and sweeter malts.

Overall: Not bad, but I probably would not go out of my way to have it again.

A dark amber and orange color, thin 1/5" white head. Aroma was neat, all holiday orange chocolate. Wasn't expecting a mix of citra hop and chocolate and brown malt, it works so nicely with the hops.

Taste was a light bodied yet dark wheat base, interesting take on the beer, they did pretty well. Repacked the caramel crystal malt and cascade hop with some citra and chocolate feels to make a unique and good beer.

Affordably priced too.
