Best by 7/2013.

Pours a hazy light orange with a foamy light tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy broken rings of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with some grassy flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp but somewhat medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a pretty good smell but the taste doesn't match up in my opinion.

look: 3 | smell: 2.5 | taste: 2.5 | feel: 2.75 | overall: 2.5

Appearance: Relatively clear. Slight chill haze. Deep gold that falters a bit at the edges. Head is bright-white and drops to a small creamy collar and spotty head. Moderate carbonation pulls throughout.

Smell: Floral and fruity. Apples and flowers. Touches of citrus. Strong pale malt presence. Vaguely bready with a sharp soggy cracker. Ringwood yeast asserts itself from the start. Sweet, decidedly so. Biscuit dough.

Taste: Sweet caramelized biscuit dough. Layers of flowers and apple skin. A bit grassy with a decidedly herbal overtone. Cooked and caramelized malts. Big punch of yeast on the finish. Hops are minimal allowing the pale malts to take over. Some darker, amber, malts as well.

Mouthfeel: Light body with a moderate carbonation. Relatively clean with a lingering yeasty flavor.

Overall: Ship this anywhere but here.

Not a terrible beer, but not a great beer by any stretch. Pale and sweet. Easy to drink with low impacts. I guess I can see the appeal.

Cheers to Goblinmunkey7 for giving me a bottle of this

Consumed 2/7/13

Appearance: Golden amber, lightly hazy - starts with a little, off-white head, fades to a nonexistent cap - not exactly blonde, not sure why BA calls this a blonde ale...

Smell: If this isn't Ringwood yeast, then I don't know what Ringwood smells like - floral with some fruitiness - sweet biscuits, caramel, and overly caramelized malts - pale malts - very sweet with very minimal bitterness

Taste: Caramel malts and Ringwood yeast - cooked, caramelized malts that are simultaneously sugary and light - pale, with some hints of light amber malts - some light fruitiness, grassy notes (the yeast), and something that reminds me of tea - mellow overall, lacking bitterness

Mouthfeel: Medium body, pretty smooth with some residual stickiness, nicely carbonated

Overall: Easy to drink, but only great if you want a rose of Ringwood

This is sweet and mellow. It's very drinkable, but it's not particularly interesting. Also, it's not an American Blonde. Sorry.
