Clear copper in color with some orange highlights. Thick fluffy two finger head. Nice lacing develops through the drink. Tons of tiny carbonation bubbles rising furiously to the top. The aroma was very weak, only some bread and caramel were barely distinguishable.
Flavors were of caramel and bread, and was mildly bitter and slightly buttery. A hint of metallic tone hits the back of tongue during the swallow.
Mouthfeel is crisp at the start. The finish is crisp the malts softly linger on the tongue. Drinkability is down a notch for me, as this was somewhat bland on the flavor front.

This pale ale pours a not so pale orange color with a very thin white head. The smell is mild and of grains. It is not particularly pleasant. The taste is quite a bit better, albeit very simple. It is of grains (slightly roasted) with a hint of citrus that primarily comes through in the aftertaste. There are some mild yeast and toffee flavors as well. The body is on the light end of medium and the finish is semi-dry. There is very little hop presence at all. This is a very basic beer, not offensive in any way, but not exciting either. I would definitely drink it again, but not if I was looking for anything interesting.

14 oz. on tap at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine, served in a plastic cheater pint.
Appearance: Clear copper. Very thin head; mostly bubbles.
Aroma: A little bit of fruit along with some grass and a bit of herbal touch.
Taste: Toffee, grain, a little bit of citrus. Somewhat Bass-like. Herbal character from the nose is more noticeable on the palate.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and easy.
Overall: Nice traditional ale. Not a risk-taker, but a fine all-purpose ale.
