Inky black and opaque with a low head of oatmeal colored foam that settles out quickly and leaves some soapy bubbles. Aroma of roasted malt and toffee, with noticeable but well-balanced blueberry notes.

Rich flavors of dark malt, cocoa and coffee, laced with blueberry flavors that complement well. Not overdone, not too sweet, just a great balance and subtle yet pleasing complement to the porter flavors. Subtle floral hops ride beneath. Full and rich mouthfeel. This is a great beer that has achieved a perfect balance of flavors. This base porter would likely work well in the same proportion with other complementary flavors - raspberry, chipotle, etc. Well done.

Poured into a snifter - brown pour with huge amounts of foam risen.
Huge notes of blueberry followed by chocolate, coffee.
big coffee notes along with blue berry, chocolate, vanilla and malts.
Medium bodied, easy to sip, abv hides so well in this.
Overall I got this because it was $10 for a 4 pack and I love trying new beers. I would say I would pick this up in the future again. Would recommend. Definitely reminds me of a stout and would be curious to see this in a stout version.

Pour a deep black color with a thin but retentive head. Lots of sticky lacing.

Smells of coffee, toffee, and chocolate.

Taste is very chocolatey, with some feint coffee undertones. Definitely full bodied but not detecting much blueberry. Pretty decent though.

Horrendous. Overly sweet, very artificial blueberry character, a real mess of flavors.

Just what in the hell do we have here? A porter-scotch ale blend with blueberries?? Apparently. I had the Pugsley's Smashed Pumpkin a long time ago and loved it, so it's nice to see something else from the same series. Let's see what this one is all about

Pours a rich dark brown with 2 fingers of light tan head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

A very interesting nose on this one, definitely feeling like a dessert beer. I'm picking up on aromas of smoky dark malt, tart blueberries, red grape, blueberry pancakes, brown bread, earthy hops, and a touch of dark chocolate

The taste...not as interesting. It's still good, but a bit of a letdown from the aroma. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting lightly tart blueberry, roasty coffee, earthy hops, and dark malt. The swallow brings notes of hot alcohol, brown sugar, blueberry pancakes, and earthy hops. Reminds me a bit of their beer Prelude in the finish which I was not a fan of but this is definitely better than that

A medium full body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a silky beer. Finishes off dry with a firm bitterness

A weird on for sure. It was definitely good worth a shot despite the less than stellar flavor. Could use some more age on it

Pours brown with ruby highlights. A thin head becomes a wisp, leaving a little lacing.

The smell is of mild chocolate and coffee with blueberries and an earthy touch.

The taste is more robust than the nose. Rich dark chocolate, subtle coffee, blueberry muffin. Long finish.

Full-bodied. ABV well-covered.

A unique - delicious brew. Probably the most complex fruit beer I've had. Blueberry certainly present but doesn't overwhelm. A blueberry strong porter with a Scottish Wee Heavy character. Very interesting.

It pours a pure dark black and gives a small white head. The smell was centered around the chocolate and blueberries, combined very nicely. A bit of coffee and vanilla came out as the beer warmed. Some roasted malts also became slightly present. The taste was more centered around the coffee and roasted malts with the blueberries taking a background. The palate was very creamy with a slight tingle on the roof of my mouth. It had about a medium/heavy sort of feel. Overall, this was a superb beer for me, though I may be biased since I love blueberries so much. I have to admit, I'm not much of a Shipyard fan, but honestly it's a blueberry stout that does well at the end of the day.

Poured a dark brown color with a light tan head. The aroma is sweet blueberries, malts, vanilla and a little chocolate. Taste starts with blueberry muffin then some cocoa and coffee, finishing with dark malts that help balance out this brew. The alcohol in this is very well masked by the flavors and the mouthfeel is light with little carbonation. Reminds me more of a stout than a fruit beer.
