Fuggles is a single-hopped, dry, crisp ale that is wonderfully balanced and deceptively smooth.

Light to medium orange amber color. White 1/4" head. Dark citrusy aroma, not very potent aroma. Also a pale bready malty character to aroma, again not very powerful. Very high carbonation to start with, fades relatively quickly to a moderate level 1/3 of the way through. Very dry finish, slightly citrus middle and end. light Sweet start, sweetness again on finish. Almost a slight sulphur presence in finish, not a huge fan. It is pretty light in body, not a complex or lasting flavor. Expected more flavor and aroma for something in the IPA category, a slight let down, but understandable using a fuggles, but still. Overall pretty drinkable, nothing special.

On tap at The Good Life in Massapequa... Medium gold color with a finger of ivory foam... Remarkably unremarkable beer - had some grain and fruit impressions, maybe muted citrus among them, and a little bit of earthy pine... Medium body felt a bit tacky and sluggish? I'm a finisher, but I left half of this in the glass.

On a bit of an IPA ride lately I brought this home as part of a pick six and was eager to give this one a try. Poured a medium/dark opaque orange with a nice white head but the head didn't last. Had a nice smell but not the hoppy smell that most IPA's have. Just a average earthy smell could not pick up any citrus at all. Taste was nothing special. Slight bitterness with a dry almost metallic finish. Feel was not unpleasant but far from what I was hoping for. The fuggle hop certainly is not what Im used to in an IPA . Overall I was not real impressed but again it was not what I have been used to in an IPA.I haven't tried a lot of English IPA's so maybe my rating is a little harsh. Not bad but not my favorite.

A very, very average IPA. It pours a hazy copper with a slim head. The scent is subtle hints of earth. The taste is lacking in hop presence a little for an IPA. Overall it's an average beer - nothing too fancy.

Darker yellow, 1/3" white head. Gotta love freshness dates. Aroma was whoof, dog shit and butter diaectyl like notes, even if not huge.

Taste was mild in every regard, hops, malt, d infection, earthiness. Not impressed.
