Gravity halfpint at the Bree Louise.
A: Looks like coffee - dark brown body, red highlights, and no head whatsoever. Totally flat. Oh, and the glass looks dirty and chipped, too. Possibly the ugliest beverage I've ever purchased.
S: Fruity, slightly roasty malt. Some prune, some banana, some coffee. Ok, but forgettable.
T: Better here, with the coffee standing out more at first and some richer chocolate malt notes on the back end. Dry, mineral-laden finish. Fairly good.
M: Flat, smooth, light-bodied. Only the dryness gives it any real texture, but that texture is unpleasantly chalky. Not good.
O: This was a real disappointment, but I could see how this beer could have potential; maybe gravity wasn't the best serving method.
Cheers!
