Thanks to Groleau for the share.

Large voluminous head, aroma is to die for. Herbs, field of flowers with a bit of sauvignon. The taste is good but falls short of the aroma. The sauvignon tries to make its presence known through the carbonation but it's a tad much. I like this but could have done with less carbonation.

Pours a clear hay color with a tall white billowy head, good retention and nice lacing as it falls to creamy collar. Nose is floral, spicy, white pepper, barnyard funk. The taste is spicy, white pepper, floral, nice barny funk, leather, oak. The mouthfeel is soft yet round with lively carbonation. This is just a great example of a barrel aged saison; complex yet smooth and easy drinking.

750 mL bottle. Hazy orange. Smells very hoppy. Tropical fruits and sharp brett. Great dichotomy of aromas. Tastes more of the wine barrel, but still mostly dominated by hops. Tropical and herbal at the same time. Wine almost completely masks the brett, but it lingers. Light body. Absolutely delicious.

Very similar to the assemblage series. Nice tart level, fruits, dry yeast. The dry finish works really well. A bit of cherry. A signature flavour to these beers but it is a very good flavour.

Another one from David that I've been very excited to try. Cheers man!!

Pours a hazy straw-gold with a touch of orange, nice fluffy white head. Citrus fruits (mostly bright fresh oranges), some peppery saison yeast and a bit of sweet white wine.

White wine is a little more present in the taste, but much drier than I picked up in the nose. Lightly tart apples, dank old wood and dry brett in the finish. Well made beer, very nice stuff. Thanks again David.

Moderated wine character, but it still dominated the orange hoppy saison taste I really liked from the regular edition. I tolerate red wine character when I have red wine, and its health benefits.

Its body is a crystal clear polished golden hue. Steady streams of carbonation keep its nearly three fingers of dense, fluffy paper white head afloat. Patterned patches of lace paint the top edges of the glass.

Sweet ripe and gooey apricots are pervasive. Behind its fruity sweetness are vestiges of its barrel aged treatment. Tart lemon and soft phenols make for a perfumy fragrance. There's a rich oakiness to it as well but it's faint. Its acidity pulls through more as it warms.

Snappy lemon peel and fresh grassy edges make a solid base, inundated with apricot and peach. Raw pine needles and green grape skins follow, imparting an almost astringent bitterness. Band-aid-like phenols hold steady throughout. Fresh biscuit and grassy pine are what's left in the end.

Light to medium bodied with a thirst quenching dryness stemming from its acidity. Its lemon and grassy qualities impart a prickly feel. A slight bitterness in the finish with no sign of alcohol.

It's good but at $16 a bottle, I was expecting a lot more from this barrel aged Saison. I enjoyed the fruity quality I got from the cab sauv barrels and the fact that a lot of its characteristics were bang on for the style. I didn't enjoy its raw, grassy, lingering bitterness that I thought was a bit too prominent relative to the weight of it's body.
