An old-style German Wheat Ale with a short lactic fermentation. Light & crisp with an acidic sour bite that aims to please. Traditionally served with raspberry or woodruff syrup, but can be enjoyed wihtout.

From a bomber, this brew has a tart aroma....lots of cranberry scents...fruit and a bit of grain. Grassy, fresh, lively, and fruity. The taste is similar. Very effervescent, with a sharp carbonation, a light heft, and a serious tartness. The cranberry flavor continues through the taste. Enjoyable and interesting.

Comes in hazy yellow similar to a hefeweizen, cloudiness all over it. The head was bright white and just under 1/2".
The aroma kicked substantial phenols, this really seems to be a belgian/german hefe masquerading as a berlinner weisse at this point, the yeast is driving everything here.
Taste kicks down some spice rack, more plastic phenols, tartness and wheat body are just enveloped by the yeast. This beer is dominated by something that should not be.

Huge billowing foam upon pouring from a bomber, but it fades quickly and then goes flat. Only a few bubble streams apparent, but not even enough to create a ring around the outside of the glass. Hazy light yellow straw color.
Smell: 4
Funky, dank, and spicy. Smells of sour fruit and vinegar.
Taste: 4.25
Slight bite at first. Kicks right into sour apple and peach. Pretty tart and dry, then the spices and herbs come through. There is a slight vinegary flavor throughout. Slight vegetable undertones.
Feel: 3
Upper light side in terms of body. Quite flat overall.
Overall: 3.75
An ok brew. Good at first, but after getting close to the bottom of the 22 ounce bottle, I was ready for it to end. Probably wouldn’t grab one again. It needs a little more balance. Seems like heavy on the vinegar and vegetable flavors, but needs more of something. Maybe a touch of sweetness, malt, and wheat.

Had on draft at the Mayor of Old Town in Fort Collins.
Aroma has prunes, tartness, yeast
Tart and complex taste, dry. A great sour beer, incredibly refreshing and easy drinking.

Look: Hazy yellow straw in color. Thick creamy white head dissipates quickly. No carbonation or lacing.
Smell: Wheat and lemony tartness. A subtle banana ester.
Taste: Bright fruit-forward malt up front. Followed very closely by a perfectly tart lemon flavor cut by a mild honeydew melon quality. Finish is a continuation of lemony tartness and a rounded yeasty warmth.
Feel: Medium-light body with an off-dry finish. Yeast creates a bit of creaminess. Good acidity but it could be better.
Overall: Certainly indicative of the style. Far more complex and supremely balanced than I was expecting. Evolves through out the sip and as it warms. A must try.

Pours a straw yellow, hazy, with a big head of foam that doesn't last long. There is none in my glass now.
The nose is all aboot the wheat; I only sense some sort of tartness. .
I get a lemon zest and mild tartness to go with the wheat in the taste. That and a mild flavour of some kind of melon.
Light bodied with medium carbonation.
Nice brew. Refreshing brew.
