22oz bottle picked up at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Washington.
No dating on the bottle. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Clear, golden amber color, moderate white head that leaves a good amount of lacing.
Little carbonation stream visible in the glass as it sits.
Smell- Piney Dank, melon, light citrus, green onion or leeks/chives, grassy, toffee/caramel and a generic berry smell, maybe some peach as it warms. Alcohol.
Taste- Same as the smell but the melon is toned down. Heavy, bready malt mid notes (you can taste and smell the white bread) with a HEAVY piney/hoppy bitterness that comes in like a wrecking ball in the finish. Alcohol isn't masked.
Feel- Acrid, bitter and puckering are the first three words that come too mind. The IBUs let themselves be known.
O- My second offering from Old School house. They played it safe and took an Old School approach to a double. I didn't find Ruud Awakening pleasant either. Won't seek again.

Pale, golden brassy, and nearly clear, with lots of small bubbles. 22oz served in a pint glass. Flavor is bitter-sweet, with astringent kettle hops crawling their way over a fairly syrupy brew. Very little aroma here to hold my interest. This is drinkable, and doesn't taste of alcohol (9%), but just not that interesting.

The beer comes in crystal clear pale amber to amber.
The aroma is classic piney, biscuity malt.
Flavor follows with some dankness, malty sweetness takes over with a bit of caramel, not too much bitterness, piney as well. Leaning on the sweeeter side, but very much that West Coast IPA.

Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass. Head quickly disappeared, leaving a thin white head and lacing that rings the glass above the beer. Slight haze but no sentiment. Beautiful amber orange; it's a perfect visual.
Aroma is hoppy, with citrus and pine along with some flowers in there. Very promising. The taste is more leaning towards the pine and hops, juicy but without an overpowering citrus. I do get spoiled orange peel in there, but it's really more concerned with balancing (very well) the hoppy complexity (there's 7 hopes involved according to the paperwork) than the citrus. Slight dank, pine and onions, yet never does it get too piney or too bitter, because a balanced caramel is keeping a lid on things. They claim 90 IBU but I'd have guessed 40 at most. Thanks, Old Schoolhouse.
The booze is there but it's pretty subtle for 9%. As user mactrail says, it verges into the sharp and acidic territory but managed to keep it out of the "too much" area. Smooth, baby. Aftertaste is clean and light. Pleasant bitter lingers but nothing to scare away the uninitiated. For fans of juicy pine but don't like extremes. Great example of Northwest IPA style. More sippable than your mother's DIPA.

22oz bottle served in a tulip. Pours an amber golden color with little head. Nose is sweetness from the malts, pine and some citrus. Taste is much the same with the pine and malts being the most prominent. There is some bitterness on the finish, which fits the high ibu.
