Small head poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass that dissipated quickly. Light amber color that is slightly translucent. Taste is good but not outstanding. Sort of a sour taste that disappears quickly. Definitely a Belgian style. Smooth and no bitterness. This would be a good summer ale. Refreshingly delicious!

Popping the top on this Trpel 7 I get a waft of yeast. Pours into a SAPP to a cloudy bright yellow with a two finger off white head. On the taste this brew has a nice thick mouthfeel, followed by a classic Belgian sweet and spicy taste but the taste doesn't linger deeply like a typical Belgian it fades quickly to a more sour slightly bitter middle, but returns for a spiced aftertaste. Without the weird middle this would be solid.

Handsome amber brew with plenty of foam in the Kasteel chalice. I look back at the decade-old scores and I think this has improved considerably in the last few years. It's still a flabby and malty bloated beast, but the meaty taste and the silky drinkability make it decent enough.

So wheaty and rich. Moderately sweet but the Belgian yeasty flavor is seductive and it dries out just enough for the aftertaste. Not as clear a flavor as the typical sharp fruity Tripels, but this doesn't taste of alcohol either. An interesting and respectable addition to the Washington beer scene, even if it's made by Scuttlebutt. From the six-pack of 12 oz bottles purchased at The Market in Anacortes.

Decent, but not much of a tripel, the yeasty/spicy notes that you expect from the style take the background. However it hides the alcohol quite well, one of the more easy drinking 9%ers I've had.

Dark gold with a hint of pear and banana aroma.
Actually strong ABV, but it does not taste like that.
I enjoyed it!

Decent beer. Gotta love the abv (9%). Which is well hidden. But the finish is a bit strange. Maybe too sweet. Certainly worth a try. However, you probably won't love it. There are better Belgian ales out there.

From a bottle, pours a hazy amber. Good smell, sweet, bread, coriander, fruit. Not very effervescent, but I think for me personally it helps because a lot of tripels are too bubbly and strong on the coriander for my tastes. Overall a good beer, I would buy it again.

Pretty meh. Too sweet even for a Belgian style. Bland, funky after taste. Can comfortably say I will not have again.
