Large dining room in a concrete building where the walls aren't painted. Several TVs scattered around. The atmosphere isn't much.

Their own beers on tap, which are solid enough, but not particularly notable.

The service was perfectly adequate, but the place was busy.

The beer and food selections were pretty standard NW pub fare.

My Porter Chicken sandwich was solid, but not very Portery. The handcut fries were a bit limp.

Overall, a solid and pleasant enough place. It's located right down by the water and near a park, so it's a convenient spot. You could do worse, you could do better.

I've given this one a try a couple times now. Food is pretty lousy and while I came for the beer, they never have any of the more rare, interesting, or decently rated brews on their list. The list is a joke. I have to ask four or five times until I get down to the mediocre stuff I can find anywhere in a bottle and equally bleh.

Update: Food is not bad at all if you stick to the most brew-pub options, burgers and fries, etc.
And if you find Monk's Parade on tap. Get that. Even if it's not your style - It is amazing!

Nice brew pub. On the bay but you can't see it. Indoor and outdoor seating and always a line to get in (a good sign). Some steady but a few rotating taps plus a full bar. All beers are theirs. Good menu selections.

This place, which recently moved to a waterfront location at the Everett Marina, gets and A for location and an A for atmosphere - but C's and D's for everything else. The food was nothing remarkable and I can't honestly say that I've had a beer from this brewery that I've liked. This place is the inverse for nearby Diamond Knot. Diamond Knot has a hole in the wall building, lackluster service, and less than cozy atmosphere - but great beer and better than average food. Scuttlebutt offers great atmosphere, good service, amazing views - but average food and bad beer. I've been to their new location twice and don't really feel compelled to return. The low quality score is more a reflection of beer quality. Their food, while not terribly memorable, was not bad.

Place is crazy busy on most date/family dinner nights so get there early. Has a pretty good locale if only the Everett waterfront looked better but not a huge deal. Good happy hour and local flavors for food (try the Po Boy, simple and it has bacon!) Usually have a good array of their beers, try to get a Triple 7 or 10 Below, two of my favorites but hard to get as they go fast when on tap. Service can be a bit slow only because of the amount of people that come when it gets busy so try to go in off hours. Go have lunch and a beer or two, you will come away feeling full and feeling good.

Nice brewpub on the waterfront, went there for happy hour, nice little bar area and a draft list that includes their standard bottled ales as well as some draft only releases. 2.50 a pint from 2-6 during the week you can't beat that. It stated to get a little busy and bar staff seemed shorthanded. Other than that its a solid place to hang out and grab a brew. Not the most happenin joint in town but everyone is nice and its relaxing. happy hour bar food deals are a great value to go with the beer. Big screen tv right in behind the bar for the sports games. Just beware and make sure to let your beer warm up a little, they serve in frosted glasses which made their blonde ale turn into ice cubes for a little bit.

Clean, simple, new, contemporary brewpub sitting right on the water. Great view of sailboats and the waterfront near the Navy base in Everett.

Roughly 10 different taps, and a few one offs. Nitro-Red was alright but the Dry Hopped IPA was awesome. Most of their other beers are just average and are bottled. Pretty easy to find around town.

A phenomenal happy hour, with $2 pints and great appetizers. Food was decent, basic brewpub, but consistent offerings. Attentive staff with mostly younger people working, and seemingly a blend of regulars and families in for dinner.

Overall, felt a bit generic and a lot like an Applebees or something. You could have a similar experience in many different places. Lacked character and aesthetic, while offering excellent pricing and a great view.

They moved to a new location as of April 2011.
The beer is nothing spectacular but very decent.
The food is nothing spectacular but very decent.
Very nice location near the water on the Everett waterfront just North of the Navy base. $3.43 per pint for most beers? Seriously? $2 per pint happy hour? Seriously?
Good selection of a wide variety of beer styles. The usual suspects - IPA, a Tripel (nice), Amber, Red.
Decent food, decent beer nice brewpub near the water.
Well worth the visit. Enjoy a beer and decide for yourself.

This place was really off the beaten path, somewhere along some waterfront in northern Washington state. (I noticed that most breweries in WA were in unexpected places.) A small, simple and somewhat dingy place (in a good way), a basic but solid food menu (including a Philly cheese steak...done wrong of course!), and several interesting homemade beers. Staff was friendly. I think this is place that ruined me during my infamous Seattle-to-Vancouver pub crawl. There were 8 beers in the beer sampler and they were about a half-pint each. Oof...yeah I think that was the killer.

I visited Scuttlebutt today after work and had dinner and sampled a few of their brews. I had never been there before, and it was recommended by a friend of mine, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The atmosphere is nice; it's clean and very welcoming inside. It seemed to me that there were a lot of regulars there; a real down-home pub. Service was good and the servers were attentive and knowledgeable.

I had the fish & chips, which is kind of my barometer for this kind of place. Scuttlebutt is somewhat nautical-themed and is located inside a former fish processing plant on the waterfront, so it seemed doubly appropriate. The food was good and relatively cheap for what I got.

They had about 8 of their beers on tap; some are year-round and there were a couple of seasonals. Overall, a good place with good beer, food and service. I'll definitely be going back.

Some people have compared Scuttlebutt to a standard brewpub boilerplate and come away disappointed. I just accept the place for what it is and enjoy the heck out of it. This is a waterfront fish'n'chips house. It's nothing special. There's not even a real bar to park at. With its nautical theme and diner-like simplicity, it almost feels like a place you'd sit and wait for a ferry. But the beer is outstanding, and low prices make it an exceptional value.

The restaurant was reborn from an old seafood plant. Turn the place around and you'd have great views of the Everett Marina. You could even arrive by boat and moor not a hundred meters away. As it stands, you get a view of the railroad and a classy waterfront parking lot. The usual life rings and yachting pennants line the walls of the front room. Behind a glass wall is a second room with wooden wainscoting used sometimes for private parties.

Scuttlebutt pours six regular beers, two seasonals and no guests. They trend towards standard models but are clean, flavorful, and well executed - a solid notch above average, especially the porter, blonde, and IPA. Most are available to go in six-packs or bombers and are distributed throughout the Puget Sound region. They also sell Scuttlebutt schwag in the form of flip-top growlers, ceramic coasters and more.

Food is routine - they actually call it "grub" - but it's popular and the house gets crowded on weekends. Be sure to get your name on the waiting list as there's no hostess to do that for you. I found service otherwise attentive and got more smiles than I'd expect on a winter's day. Catch happy hour and you'll enjoy the most ridiculously cheap prices on beer and appetizers anywhere.

I visited the Scuttlebutt Brewing for dinner and couple of pints, while on a business trip.

Spartan furnishings. Tables and chairs coffee shop style. No bar. No music. A TV in the corner. The brewery is in a warehouse adjacent to a Navy installation. Lots of navy and coast guard memorabilia on the walls.

Quality is pretty good. The place produces good quality craft beer.

Service was OK. I was served by a young girl who didn't seem o have much of a passion for the beer. The wait staff were more like cafe waitresses.

Selection is OK. Six main selection plus a seasonal. Some beers are available on nitro.

Food was average. I had the seafood platter Bar quality seafood at a reasonable price.

Scuttlebutt is a good value. Pints at $3.25. Dinner for $10

Driving from the San Juans to Seattle, the Scuttlebutt name caught our eye. My buddy and I swung off the highway to check out the harborside brewpub, only to find disappointment in their beer, service, and decor.

I think my standards for brewpubs are high; nonetheless, I don't like to bash a place outright. WIth Scuttlebutt, finding something good to say is tough, so I'll keep this short and sweet. The decor, maritime and naval flags, against a white wall was a thoughtful though underrealized effort to give the pub some character. The service--both our server and the bartender--knew nothing about the beers. When we asked what style their "Olympia" was, we were told "dark, malty" style.

The beers themselves were riddled with off-flavors from too much strength--the Gale Force IPA--to not enough hoppiness--the Sequoia Red--to too short a length--their Blonde ale. Only their porter was passable, and I believe that to be a green light by comparison only.

Don't green light Scuttlebutt. Skip it and make that beeline for Seattle.

This establishment has naval decor and a family atmosphere. It sits right on a pier over the water in North Everett. Ship pictures and life preserves adorn the walls. They also had some beer books by the bar--Kudos to them for trying to educate the consumer. There beers were pretty average brewpub quality. I was hoping to pick up a few barleywines but they didn't have any. Service was cheerful and quick and the waitstaff knew the beers. Nice selection of beers and typical pub/seafood menu which I did not partake of. If you drop anchor in Everett, sail into the Scuttlebutt.
