Very malt-forward and a pronounced nuttiness that was not expected. A pretty good beer overall, but I've had others I've enjoyed more.

On-tap 3/13/2015 at Doherty’s Ale House in Warwick, RI, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep dark reddish brown color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, fruit, rye, spices and a good amount of hops.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus, dark fruit and rye spice. Then a decent hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is very hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, strong kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Citrus rind and caramel malt nose with traces of sherry and ripe fruit. Pours red tinted amber with a slight haze under a 1” off-white foam cap. Enters with a light sweetness, fruit – cherry to plum, traces of sherry and dries by the finish with a burst of citrus rind bitterness. Medium full body and slightly above average carbonation.

My first try of Cambridge brewing's wares.Poured into an imperial pint glass a deep copper with a tight formed half finger slight off white head.A mix of earthy and piney hops in the nose, deep brown sugar maltiness underneath.Sharp piney hop notes upfront on the palate with more of the earthiness coming into play, light booze and brown sugar are there as well.A nice big red alot of pine and earthy hoppiness.
