Picked up a growler from the brewery, heck yeah! I'm glad that they can now open for to-go offerings since closing at the early days of Covid19.
I've known of this beer for years but never had the moment to drink and rate it, and it does not disappoint!
Look is a mostly clear, dark copper with a dense tan head that fades with some sudsy lacing.
Smell and taste are wonderful, caramel and toffee, sweet and earthy. Dark fruits, cherry plum and raisin sweetness.
Feels full and layered, a fair bitterness and slightly boozy warmth.
Overall excellent!
Very happy that I finally got to bring this one home.

Brown color where bright light shines through the center. Modest head with nearly no lace (only a couple of very minor spots).
Dark malt and a bit of band-aid to the nose.
Strong dark malt with a solid dollop of alcohol. The body isn't as thick as one might expect. There's an imaginary sweet cherry flavor. The aftertaste and swallow is lightly sweet and darkly malty.
