On-tap at Cambridge Brewing
A: The beer pours a hazed orange-amber color with a couple fingers of off-white head.
S: This is a pumpkin beer, but not what most people think of. Obviously a play on the Biere de Garde style, with pumpkin. Starts off with sweet malt and a mild spice/phenol character from the yeast. Plenty of sweet, fruity notes (banana and pear) with white pepper.
T: Banana and other fruity notes such as apple and banana to begin with. Plenty of yeast and bread with some more white pepper notes. There actually seems to be a mild pumpkin flavor to it.
M: The body is light to medium with medium carbonation.
O: A different kind of pumpkin beer, which I like. It helps to break up the monotony of the same handful of spices in every beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Funny enough I just brewed a pumpkin saison last weekend.
Pours a lightly hazed dark orange, some amber highlights, thin off white head forms, settles down to a tiny ring, no real lacing on the glass.
Smell is neat, weird, a bit dry and funky, wheat, pumpkin, caramel, lightly spiced, very malty, some biscuit and toast, barnyard, interesting play between the pumpkin and yeast.
Taste is similar, pumpkin, sugary, some caramel, wheat, yeast, light bit of farmhouse funkiness/barnyard, spices in the background, a bit of anise in the finish.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Pretty cool although I'm not sure how well this yeast works with the ingredients.
