Pours slightly chill hazed and a nice orange with a half finger of white foam.

Nice berry aroma with citrusy orange and grapefruit notes with a slight lemony note.

Orange, lemon, grassy, kind of falls off in flavor.

Light-bodied, medium carbonation, bitter, piney, slightly resinous.

Overall, with how pleased I've been with others in the Single Hop series this was definitely not up to par.

A - This is a reddish gold, clear, with light head, moderate, with persistent lacing.

S - Strong dank hops, with vegetal notes and pine. Not a citrus explosion, but a few, mostly lemon, elements add to the layers.

T - Pine notes, with lemon, and a peppery spike, with cracker malt notes, and a strong and abiding bitter finish.

M - This thing builds. Be sure to consume with food (think salty snacks).

O - I enjoyed the beer, but I like my hop to have more fruit notes. There is considerable complexity, so I understand why this hop would be profiled. An interesting experiment.

I saw this at the store and couldn't believe the $5 price for a bomber and I had to try it out.

A- Thick foamy head.

S- Blueberry and pine nose.

T- Blueberry start that sits on the front of the tongue followed by a piney finish that sits on the back. Nice but not too complex.

M- Thick IPA feel that takes a long time to settle on the tongue. Leaves a little bit of a very light blueberry aftertaste surrounded by a mouth of slightly bitter pine.

O- Pleasant beer. Fresh and sits nicely. A great balance of blueberry and pine.

Poured from a 1 PT. 8 FL. OZ. into a pint glass. PKGD 02/04/14. 2014 Harvest Single Hop IPA.

Appearance: Pours a robust pale orange body with a thick off white head.

Smell: Orange citrus and sweet candy. Smells nice, bright and juicy.

Taste: Strong peppery hop flavor. Very bitter upfront and throughout the aftertaste. Based upon the aroma, I expected this to be more fruity/citrusy.

Mouthfeel: Nice and light yet full bodied. If anything, a little thin compared to a standard Sierra Nevada IPA.

Overall: Unfortunately, very one-dimensional. Not the best showcase hop for a single hop IPA. Classic Sierra Nevada bitterness, but not a ton of flavor.

A- The usual bubbly SN pomp with massive head that tastes buttery and great and doesn't want to go down. How often is the fuzz so nice?

S- It's a mild smell on this one. This candle does burn like the wind of a hop field, but not the hop concentrate.

T- I don't think this beer would work as a simple 12 oz bottle, and the flavor is why. I kid you not I wasn't crazy about this beer when I first got into it, but EVERY sip gets better (maybe it's the buzz). This is a most delicate hop, with light lemony and pepper taste with a bittery finish that fades quickly. It becomes more distinct as the expectation of that grapefruit we've been getting so much of goes away.

M- Delicate and floral, I'm saying this in the sense that the nose is the brain the heart is the tongue and the mouthfeel is the mind, okay? It's like drinking a cloud and the colors (yes, colors) I get are light blue and yellow. It's nice because where else do you get this than from a single hop beer.

I was disappointed in this beer at first but I think I wanted a hop bomb, but this is a subtle beer. I was wondering how beer was gonna go. Like Beerchitect said, it's not about screaming now, more like cooing. Can you hear this?

Bomber Poured into Dogfish Spiegelau glass.

After a big hype I was thoroughly let down by this beer. Appearence is OK. Smell is lacking. Taste is certainly sub par and leaves plenty to be desired. Not too much else to say. Thankfully it wasn't super pricey or there would be problems.
