Pours deep gold with a hint of orange. Appealing overall.
Smell is interesting. Fresh cut hay with slight tropical notes. There's a doughnut like sweetness there.
Taste has some very unique dark berry note, something like a gooseberry jam. Bitter hops are very apparent but doesn't take over. Lots of malty sweetness akin to something of a biscuit with honey.
Mouthfeel is somewhat thicker than your average ipa. I feel like a more viscous feel helps pull out those unique hop, sweet biscuit and jam notes.
Overall a solid try if you can. If this were to be released year round I would ask that the smell be a better rep of the taste.

Pours into an impy nonic a muddled burnt orange color with a tightly formed sticky 1/2 finger shite head atop, good form to the head.Aromas are a bit lighter than expected with some floral and mild citric hops along with a dryer malt base.Flavors start out dry and almost nutty with the citrusy hops coming late and into the finish, the hops are not big but provide some citric life to the beer wich otherwise is pretty tame. Not bad but not for a hophead looking for something a little "more".

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic pint.
Appearance: Clear, light orange with initial, frothy white head that disappears fairly quickly.
Smell: Floral and herbal notes, citrus and berry. Nice aroma at first, but almost completely vanishes after a couple minutes.
Taste: Very focused on the hops, with mostly herbal and spicy flavors. Some light grapefruit, lemon and berry. The malts are pretty light and soft. The finish is very bitter without much lingering flavor.
Feel: Medium, oily body with moderate carbonation. Very dry finish.
Overall: Very bitter IPA without enough flavor or aroma to back it up. It seems that Yakima is not a ideal candidate for a single hop beer.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass. Packaged 02/04/14.
Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Big four finger white head with good retention. Leaves a lot of lacing.
Smell: A bright, earthy, and juicy hop forward aroma with good hints of pine and citrus. Big upfront mix of floral, earthy, and herbal hops with hints of grass and spicy pine resin. Fruity citrus hints of orange, grapefruit, lemon, mango, and pineapple. Also some good hints of berries. Crisp pale malt background with hints of biscuit, grains, cracker, and yeast. Light hints of pepper. A very good and dank hoppy IPA aroma.
Taste: Like the aroma suggests, an earthy, spicy, and juicy hop forward taste with good notes of grass, pine, citrus, and spice. Upfront earthy and floral hops with good notes of grass. Spicy and dank notes of pine resin. Citrus hop notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, and mango. Notes of berries and some spicy pepper. Pale malt with some bready notes of biscuit, cracker, grains, and yeast. A very good hoppy taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Spicy, oily, and pretty drying. Pretty smooth.
Overall: A very good take on a IPA. Good mix of earthy and juicy hops with a nice unique note of berries.

Clear golden honey colored with a thick beige head of dimpled foam that lingers long. Low aroma of floral hops and berries.
Flavors of hard-edged citrus upfront, some orange rind pith, with notes of honey, vanilla, fresh flowers and berries. The hops are a little rough, and I'm not sure the accompanying flavor notes complement well.
Even mouthfeel, moderately full, finishes tingly.
