Notes / Commercial Description:
Beer Camp Across America West Coast Double IPA clocks in at 8.5% ABV and features five hop varieties, two of which went into Sierra Nevada’s “Hop Torpedo” dry-hopping device and impart hints of grapefruit and a floral note that recalls orange blossom. A light malt body and dry finish complement the bold hop profile.

Is this beer for real? I would almost never trash a beer but this beer sucks so amazingly bad. It literally smells and tastes like Heineken. I can't think of anything less west coast, this beer sucks at a whole another level. Shame on you Sierra Nevada.

Pours a finger of khaki head. Leaves a lot of sticky lace. Color is an orange hued gold.

Flavor profile: Grapefruit, pine, floral notes, oranges, and clementine. Some bready malts is followed by a heavy dose of alcohol. It ends with a sticky hop resin flavor.

Mouthfeel: Bitter and sticky. Medium bodied. Hot.

Overall, this DIPA was hot and that should never be. You can taste the alcohol in the aftertaste a lot. Flavor-wise, I rated this at 3.33, but because of the heat, I lowered the score. This bomber will be tough to work through.
