Luckily there is no quiz at the end of the bottle re whether this is Summerfest or something else (going by memory, yeah Czech vs German, etc. but still). Pale clear gold, rapidly disappearing head, those grassy hops on the nose and palate, tangy in the finish. Not really my thing anymore, but certainly not a bad beer. Just need to be in the mood for it more so than with a lot of other examples.

Dark straw to light golden pour, decent head and good lace retention. Grassy, sweet roasted malts, floral and honey aroma. The toasted malts predominate in the taste and is mostly sweet on the tongue. However, there is enough of a spicy hop presence to balance things out and is especially felt in the dry finish and slightly bitter and raw grain aftertaste. Feel is light, softly carbonated but also slightly crisp. Easy to drink. A nice little change of pace beer. Not SNs best ever, nor is it as great as other german pilsners, but it does the job just fine.

7 months before sell-by date.
Poured in a stange glass.

Initial very lovely citrusy hops, mouthfeel is good, carbonation very fine as it should be -- but the hops fade and there's not much left -- finish is empty apart from a little bitterness. So I go for more of that good aroma and wonderful taste but always finish empty. After-taste slightly carboardy :-(

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is really clean, with bread crust an a slight honey note. Taste follows, clean, balanced, slightly hoppy on the finish. Body is light with crisp carbonation. Really traditional, well made pils. It's very similar to the traditional german examples.
