January 30th, 2015 - Here's a beer that might be a little too reserved for drinking by its lonesome, but that I could see pairing very well with a tobacco pipe. Light golden in color, with a similarly lightly hoppy nose (which I find a little generic), the taste is distinctive in that it is lemony and acerbic. Its also hoppy and bitter, but the acidic citrus quality lends it a light sweetness too, like a Southern iced tea.

Comes in an elegant hazy straw with a big creamy pure white head, with moderate retention but lots of chunky lacing.
The nose is a bit muted, but offers candied grapefruit, lemon sorbet, pine needles, crackers, honeydew melon.
The palate offers lemon sorbet, yellow grapefruit peel, orange zest, honeydew melon, green grape, gooseberry, and soft pine needles.
The mouthfeel is soft, moderately carbonated, well rounded, smooth and creamy. Finishes lightly dry.

Pours a light gold with medium carbonation. Aroma is of dank/fruity hops, taste is much of the same with a cracker like taste. Not much malt there but the beer remains balanced. Overall this is enjoyable but certainly not the most ambitious beer out there.

Its always a little weird for me that Sierra Nevada has ipas (almost the majority?) that are less malty than their pale ale.
Get with the times old man. Anyways, this one pours lighter than their pale ale. Closer to yellow than it is amber. Solid 1/2" white head on the top. Aroma is lightly floral C hops. Toasted pale malts staying away from the caramel like crystal malts on this one for the most part. Wheat usage gives a lighter body than their standard flagship pale ale. A little bit of the familiar grapefruit C hop impact.

12 oz. Bottle
Pours a pretty nice yellow/amber color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/foamy white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.
