Notes / Commercial Description:
Collaboration with Bale Breaker Brewing, Barley Brown's Beer, Black Raven Brewing Company, Melvin Brewing, Odell Brewing Co.

The city of Moxee, WA, is in the heart of the Yakima Valley hop growing region and this Imperial Session IPA—a style contradiction—honors the Pacific Northwest's hop-bomb heritage. Moxee-Moron features hops in the mash, the kettle, the Hop Torpedo, and the fermenter for ultra-complex hop aromas and flavors in an ironically named package.

A- pours an amber color with a two-finger creamy off-white head that retains long after the pour, leaving some lacing behind.

S- a nice mix of fruity red berries, tropical and citrus hops, with notes of orange peel and mango. Slightly sweet malt

T- blast of citrus and tropical hops up front with noted of pineapple, mango, guava, grapefruit and tangerine. Slightly grassy mid-palate with just a hint of malty sweetness, the finish is more citrus and red berries with a hint if grass

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy onto the finish

O- at 7.5%, this certainly isn't a session beer, but it's a very good IPA

I was a bit taken a back by the claim of it being a "session IPA". It has a very nice body and then I see 7.5%. It's obvious there's a good amount of barley malt with hints of caramel and honey. Tremendous blend of fruity hops that blend well with melon, oranges, grapefruit, tangerine and coconut.

Well, at least they named it right... I should have had this "Imperial Session IPA" for breakfast with some decaffeinated coffee, egg beaters and vegetarian bacon.

Light copper with a finger of head. The nose is piney. The flavor is citrusy and hoppy. The body is relatively in-line with a single IPA.

Tons of fruit hop flavor. Pineapple, tangerine and orange zest. Minimal malt background. Bright. Light and drinkable. Finishes dry. The best beer from the pack I've tasted by far. Hopefully this becomes a year round offering.

First, for all the confused people, I would like to state that the label description ends "ironically named". You'll have to read the rest yourself.

Pours clear and golden. Medium head, not long lasting, glass lacing is nice though.
Four all the mention of aromatics on the packaging, I thought my alergies were acting up, but I can smell the cheese plate next to me fine. Basically aroma is mild.
Taste on the other hand is pretty good. West coast complexity.

A pretty copper color. Good sized white head with a bit of lace.
Piney and floral hops. Caramel malt.
Pine, floral, a little citrus. Strong caramel malt presence.
Smooth and enjoyable.

Pours a lovely clear amber with a creamy, dense white head that leaves lots of lace.
Aroma is citrus and pineapple.
Taste follows. Bitter, fruity, juicy with a sweet balance from the malt and a lingering pithy finish.
Mouthfeel is medium and sticky.
Tasty.

Gold to copper in color with excellent clarity. There's a solid inch of frothy off white to tan head on top. Light lacing. Aroma is of light malt and lightly piney hops. The flavor is still light malt forward with some nice gentle piney hop notes in the background. The mouth is surprisingly smooth and quaffable for the strength.

The beer pours brilliant amber with tons of tiny bubbles racing upwward to join the 1" cream colored persistent coam cap. The brewers have added hops in the mash, during the boil, in the Hop Torpedo, and in the fermenter and they fill the aroma with clean, fresh citrus, fruit and berries. On the tongue bread crumb, berries, fruit, citrus, orange flavors cavort. Melon, tropical fruiit and lingering bread crumb flavors emerge by the finish. The hop flavors are medium high to high, the malt flavors are medium and the hop bitterness is medium. While assertive, the hop bitterness is not harsh. The fermentation character is clean with most of the fruit flavors coming from the hops rather than the yeast. The alcohol flavors are barely detectable. The alcohol produces mild warming but is not hot or harsh. Moxee-Moron's texture is very creamy with a medium body and very soft, above average carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid finger of white head which settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A very juicy and dank hop forward aroma with a scent of tropical fruit and pine. Upfront citrus hop scent of grapefruit, mango, orange peel, apricot, lemon, and tangerine along with some pineapple and berry. Earthy and dank scent of pine resin and cannabis. Pale malt with a scent of caramel, cracker, and grains with yeast. A very nice juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a pretty juicy and herbal hop forward taste with notes of tropical fruit and pine. Big juicy citrus hop taste of mango, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, apricot, and tangerine with some berry and pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine resin and grass. Background pale malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. A very good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Very juicy and oily with a drying finish.

Overall: A very good "session" IPA. Good West Coast style tropical fruit flavor with a nice moderate body.

Wow: 1st review of this much anticipated brew.
Sediment-free 12 oz bottle from the 2016 Beer Camp box served in a pint glass. Packaging date of 5 April 2016.

Clear copper body has lots of visible carbonation rising to a very durable and relatively creamy off-white head. Excellent lacing.

Aroma: moderately strong, featuring a complex mix of hop notes that include citrus and pine.

Flavor: largely follows the aroma and leaves a long lasting hoppy aftertaste.

Feel: medium body with crisp carbonation and a markedly dry finish.

Overall: a very solid, West Coast style IPA. Hoppy enough to seem a little extreme to me, and to satisfy hopheads.
