We love hops with a bright, citrus-heavy character. We always wondered what it would be like to punch up the citrus while maintaining a crisp hop bite and balance. The result is this new take on the hoppy pale ale brewed with Cascade, Equinox, and Mandarina hops with a hint of orange peel from additions in both the brew kettle and the fermenter that tweak the classic hop profile and add a zesty pop of bright orange flavor.

Pours a brilliant crystal clear orange, quite active. Head production is modest, even with a hard pour, and retention is OK.
Smell is crisp and clean, with pale malt biscuit along with a touch of caramel malts, pine, and orange.
Flavor meets the wickets for a classic APA: grainy malts, clean bitterness, and a hop profile featuring pine, a slightly dank resinous quality, and some citrus. The addition of orange peel enhances the natural hoppy flavors, and while it adds a slightly green flair to the experience, it doesn't overwhelm at all. In all likelihood, it would be impossible to tell the orange peel addition without being told.
Crisp and clean feel and finish. Quite lively, with moderate carbonation sting. Just enough balance between body and easy drinkability.
A very good beer all around. This wouldn't likely replace SNPA for me if I saw both on tap, but it's a solid beer.

(review from 2017) Take the already excellent, standard bearer of American Pale ales and add big orange flavor! The most tasty, orangey, well balanced & easy quaffing orange pale craft brew available.

Copenhagen 11/8-2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Den Gamle Købmand, Skt. Annæ Plads, Kbh. K. Half an Orange in the good company og hops on the label.
Pours hazy orange with small white bubbly head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. Very moderate Lacing.
Aroma is intensely of citrus sweet. Citrus with a sweeter undercurremt of orange. A little sharp acidicy.
Medium strong carbonation with slightly thick texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by very strong sour sharp bitterness. Aftertaste is very bitter. Finish is dry.
Very fine APA even though there is more Citrus than Orange in that sidecar.

Draft at BWW Boise. Orange golden body with medium fluffy head. Faint aroma of orange zest. Taste initially has a burst of orange, which fades fast. Dries out considerably at the end. Nice summer, so so all other times.

Clear amber, white head, dissipates to a bubbly film, lacy; Not much smell, no hint of orange; Mild flavor, still no orange, not bitter, not sweet; good mouthfeel, good carbonation; Not bad, a pleasant beer.
My bottle has a different label from the one shown here on BA and, it says Orange IPA instead of Orange Pale Ale
