Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.30%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
This beer has a pop of bright orange flavor that emphasizes the natural citrus-heavy character of Cascade, Equinox and Mandarina hops. Brewed with orange peel added directly to the kettle, and all the classic hop flavor you'd come to expect from our all-new take on the hop-forward fruit beer.

Pint canned on 2/15/17, enjoyed on 5/24/17.
Did not find the orange aroma or taste I was hoping for.
I'm a DIPA lover, and in craft beer world, this is equivalent to a cheap light beer.
Nothing bad but nothing good either. Didn't find anything in any category.

Appearance: It has a nice golden tinge. Pretty, like how I would imagine Cleopatra's jewelry.

Aroma: While it smells a bit like oranges, it also has a faint old spice scent mixed in.

Taste: While the smell comes across bitter or something, the initial taste feels smooth. However, the aftertaste comes as a kick. It's a bit too harsh for a new beer connoisseur. Almost how I imagine dirty raccoon carcass would taste.

Smells and tastes slightly of budweiser. Overly bitter for the amount of hop flavor there is. There is a little bit of citrusy flavor, but it's mostly masked by the taste of budweiser. Can't think of many redeeming qualities in this beer.

From Boxbeers. In Teku glass. Watching Juntos y Revueltos. Flat and boring, with just some slight peel orange notes. It could come from any spanish amateurish nanobrewery. A big letdown. Bbf 30 Jan 2

Poured hard into a Lagunitas half quart wide mouth Mason jar.
Beautiful, rich amber orange color.
Receding quickly, light bubbly head from half-inch to a yeasty 1/8 inch.
Fast bubbly effervescence slowing down.
Malty. Bitter.
A whiff of orange, maybe, potentially due to suggestion. More likely attributed to the type of citrus forward hops. Really, this is another pale ale leaning towards an American IPA. I did not want a Blue Moon as I wanted to taste the hoppy ale but this does not distinguish itself from other pales or IPAs by way of orange citrus flavor.
Pasteurized: No

Packaged 12/28/16. Pours a hazy orange color with a 2 finger width foamy head. Retention and lacing are both very good. There is some orange in the aroma but smells more of the grainy and corn-like aroma you get with a lager. Tastes more like a lager as well. There is some slight orange. I am definitely not impressed with this beer. There is some bitter hoppiness. I really hope this is not consistent with this beer. I will give it another try, but I am thoroughly disappointed.

Pours a very hazy golden color with with a large white head. Strong orange smell but an overpowering hop flavor like an IPA. Overly carbonated and a harsh swallow. Not my kind of beer.

3/8/17 (12oz bottle, Valencia) Nice appearance, mouthfeel, and decent overall. The aftertaste reminds me of other Tropical ales, the hops seem to be obscured by this aroma/taste. Confusing style of beer.
